Direct vs. non stop flights

[edit]

WP:AIRPORT-CONTENT (bullet #7) states that Non-Stop and direct flights with same plane and flight number are listed. AddictedFlyer21 (talk) 22:44, 7 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@AddictedFlyer21: Yes, but notice what it says in the paragraph. However, avoid listing direct flights that contain a stop at a domestic hub, as virtually all of these are simply flights from one "spoke city" to a hub, with the plane continuing from the hub to a second spoke city.
The Air India flight in question contains a stop in Delhi, therefore, it is going from spoke to hub to spoke, despite the same plane number. It is not advertised as direct/nonstop and has never been (I cannot find any secondary sources that state such). Therefore, it is imprudent and in violation of WP:VERIFY to add it. Information icon Hello, I'm SounderBruce. I noticed that you recently removed content from Seattle–Tacoma International Airport without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please attempt to integrate existing content before mass-deleting entire sections. SounderBruce 02:24, 20 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please see the reasons I listed in my edit summary. The information was uncited, redundant and some was in violation of Wikipedia policies. Arnoboro (talk) 02:52, 20 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Remove map from ORD airport

[edit]

Hello,

I don't think that it is too hard to keep up a map of an airport the size of ORD. LAX has a map i'm going to put the map back, since there is no rule against it, and I am trying to standardize the pages.

Thanks, Yonikasz (talk) 17:21, 6 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
