Moved article[edit]

Hi, Aross. Just to let you know, I moved the article to Christian Leotta, to fix the typo in the title. Regards, Parsecboy (talk) 11:57, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Aross! Thanks for creating the great article Christian Leotta. Sorry if you and I have been stumbling over each other in the creation!

I've cleaned the article up to Wikipedia manual of style standards. We like all articles to look roughly the same as this helps readers and editors to get around the encyclopedia.

We have a couple of things we do and don't do in articles and you've been undoing my undoing of them! For instance, we don't give reviews, positive or negative, so we can't really say that someone has received widespread audience acclaim unless you can point to a reliable, third-party source that says that.

Also, one link to Leotta's own website doesn't make for a useful source. We need to cite other sources that are from third parties. But your link is an excellent external link for the article. The tag at the top, asking for improved references, is just asking for improved references. Please don't remove it again.

Finally, long lists of everything Leotta has ever played aren't encyclopedic (in fact, rather dismissively, we call such lists "cruft") because they don't tell the reader anything of use. It's usually better to find the website where you got the list of recordings and link to it in the "External links" section like this:

* [http://www.example.com/example List of recorded works at Example.com]

That way you provide a really useful link for our readers without making the article unreadable in the first place!

New 10,000 Challenge for Canada[edit]

Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Canada/The 10,000 Challenge is up and running based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge for the UK which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. If you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Canada like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1600 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for Canada but fuelled by a contest such as The North America Destubathon to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. I would like some support from Canadian wikipedians here to get the Challenge off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile! Cheers. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 22 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
