Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Gloriana (album), is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. iTunes bonus tracks are tough to source. High-res images

[edit]

Please don't replace low-resolution images of album covers with high-resolution versions. Although it seems that you are helping us out, our rules on non-free content require that such images be low-resolution - enough to identify the image, but not enough to make a reasonable copy. Thanks for your contributions! (ESkog)(Talk) 13:57, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:File-Justin-Moore.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi, I see you recently uploaded File:Selena_G.jpg, which is a very nice picture. You didn't specify the copyright status, but, from the file information, it appears to have been taken by Richard Drew, a photographer for the Associated Press. That means that the photo is under copyright, either to Richard Drew or the Associated Press, and we cannot use the image unless they agree to license it under a free license, which doesn't seem to be the case here. If I'm wrong, and the picture is public domain or under a free license, please let me know; otherwise, the image will be removed from Wikipedia in a couple of days.VoluntarySlave (talk) 18:47, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Justin Moore

[edit]

Just letting you know: If you upload a picture of a living person, it pretty much has to be a freely-licensed picture, not a copyrighted photo from a publishing company or somesuch. In the case of musicians, this generally means a picture that you yourself took (see Shenandoah (band), which has a picture that I took of the band), a picture uploaded to a site such as Flickr (but only with a compatible license; ask me if you have any questions about licenses), or a picture that the owner has agreed to upload (see The Kentucky Headhunters, which has a picture that one of the band members allowed to be used on Wikipedia). If you have more questions on images, ask me at my talk page (click "one bat" in my signature). File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:C Underwood.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Many ottersOne batOne hammer) 01:29, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Lastname.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Lastname.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:49, 16 November 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 17:49, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Justin-Moore.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Justin-Moore.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 14:56, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, can you give me an example so I know what I'm looking for? I just picked a few randomly and they looked right. —Gendralman (talk) 23:20, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That's a mess all right. I'm not really interested in doing the whole thing over again so I'd say just delete them. —Gendralman (talk) 00:25, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
