Information icon Hello, I'm 331dot. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Tom Homer (rugby union) have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. 331dot (talk) 14:18, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "AtlanticMobility", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it seems to be that of a business or organization. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing this form, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Googling "Atlantic Mobility" brings up a company with that name. 331dot (talk) 14:20, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The owner of the Business as well controls this account, i do apologize for the incorrect editing. but i do not feel that this violates any restrictions.

Please stop making test edits to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism, which, under Wikipedia policy, can lead to being blocked from editing. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. 2601:188:1:AEA0:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 14:25, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that the username policy(linked above, please review if you haven't already) does not permit usernames to be that of a company; usernames must identify an individual user. If you want the name of your company in your username, it is permissible to format it as "YourName of AtlanticMobility" or something similar. You don't have to use your real name, just something to indicate that only you personally are using the username. You will need to change your username; you can do so by clicking the words "this form" above, which will take you to where you can do so.
Regarding your edits, the only one that I really saw as problematic was where you wrote "Note: London Irish sounds like a dangerous mixture". Such notations of opinion are not appropriate for an encyclopedia. 331dot (talk) 14:29, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I would add that, while you haven't edited about your company, that you should review the conflict of interest policy and the paid editing policy if you ever decide to do so. 331dot (talk) 14:29, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
331dot, I reverted these edits as well, [1], [2], [3], [4]. 2601:188:1:AEA0:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 14:33, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
That's fine, but they don't seem like vandalism. 331dot (talk) 14:37, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

i mostly wish to the account functional as appropriately as possible, I do appreciate your time in these maters.

I'm not clear on if that means you intend to change your name or not, but if you do not change your name, you may be blocked from editing by an administrator. Given your use of English, I would ask you if that is your first language; you may feel more comfortable in editing the Wikipedia of your native language. 331dot (talk) 14:43, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I absolutely intend to change the username as i said earlier, i am researching it now. but i most certainty remarked that i intend to modify the account name to an acceptable name. no more action will be taken until the name has been changed, he is choosing one as we interact.

May i ask one a new name has been selected could you provide me with the instructions to change the account name or if i provide you wit h the name if you may change it for me?

Also problematic is the claim that multiple people are involved with this account, which is not permitted. 2601:188:1:AEA0:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 14:57, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You can change the name yourself, by clicking the words "this form" in my initial post above, and then filling out the information. If you would like my advice on a new name you are welcome to post it here before you actually make your request. I would note that you use "i" and "he" above, which suggests that more than one person is using this username, that is also not permitted. Only one username is allowed per person. 331dot (talk) 14:57, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Understood, again did not know. i will inform him now. and let him further any changes.

I would again ask you if English is your first language. I don't mean to sound rude but it seems like you are using a translation program to make your posts, or that your English is not very good. You may feel more comfortable in editing the Wikipedia of your native language. 331dot (talk) 15:02, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

your being rude i am a 27 year old from Connecticut trying to help a 56 year old man change the photos of his father in a legitimate concern. i will have him take down the account and he will go about it on his own as you have said it must be done. presumably due to the fact that i aided him in the creation of the account is a problematic and forces the account be removed. i have just tried to be as clear and forefront with you but i wish for my typing stile and use of grammar to not be criticized please.

My name is Dan Amalfi, you can reach me to verify any and all of these claims at danamalfi@gmail.com

I apologize, no offense was intended. I can only go by the text that I see. 331dot (talk) 15:14, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Understandably so, i will instruct him to rename the account by his own efforts. i will only instruct him on how to use the computer, i am his aid. mind you have been painfully honest only with the intention that this may be done right. and i have a crabby old guy behind me. no offense taken. you have my confidence that he will chance the name and do acceptable test edits himself, i appreciate your patience with me and this matter. i will aid him only in the use of the computer itself if that would be allowed, i can provide proof of disability on his part or have him provide it to form this point on? or disregard and have him proceed from here on out.

I presume the person you are editing for is physically or otherwise unable to use a computer(I don't need to know why specifically); No proof of a disability is needed; I think that once you change your name, simply make it clear that you are making edits on behalf of someone who has a disability preventing them from doing so. As long as you are the only one at the keyboard, there should be no problem as far as I know. 331dot (talk) 15:42, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That is correct i will be the only person to edit then on this account, dictated by him but just me doing the actual editing. The name was requested to be changed to "AtlanticGomes". this hopefully satisfies the requirements.

That seems fine to me. I again wish to apologize for giving offense and for any confusion I had. I wish you well with your editing. If you would like to learn more about editing there is a little game of sorts you can do called The Wikipedia Adventure. There is also the Help Desk if you have other questions. 331dot (talk) 15:50, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

May i ask once the account name has been changed, will it be autoconfrimed? i see in the notifications that i have reached 10 edits, provided the 96 hour period has passed which i am not entirely sure as to when exactly that was but if not now will be soon today?

I'm not exactly sure how that works. I would guess that if you are autoconfirmed currently, you still will be when your edits are transferred to the name(or your progress towards becoming autoconfirmed will be maintained) but I'm not sure. 331dot (talk) 16:04, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
