Now hold it, son! You can't just move pages whenever you want!

If you think your move may be controversial, please discuss it first!

February 2008

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Houston, Texas, without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. We have some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. —EncMstr 06:51, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow or move it unilaterally while discussion about it is underway, as you did to Houston, Texas. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Thank you. Please stop. If you continue to move pages to bad titles or before discussions about the title have ended, as you did to Houston, Texas, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. —EncMstr 07:32, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked after you tried to move my user page. We told you not to move pages to bad titles. WhisperToMe (talk) 00:33, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
