Donald Pederson
[edit]Hi AugustWest, I removed the text that you inserted in the Donald Pederson article, which was mostly from the Berkeley news press release. Remember not to copy material from other websites or publications directly into Wikipedia; instead, it's better to rewrite & integrate the information into the article, while citing your sources. Thanks! --phoebe 19:49, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi AugustWest, I'm marking the Image:Dop.gif as a copyright violation. In the description, you say you uploaded it from: http://embedded.eecs.berkeley.edu. I manage that site, and the contents of that site are copyrighted by the Regents of the University of California. Much of the technical content is in the BSD copyright, which is not the public domain. I wish there was an easy way to include the image of Professor Pederson, but short of contacting his widow and getting her to release an image to the public domain, I know of know way to do this. BTW - that image was a work for hire that was done as part of the UC Berkeley EECS Departmental Faculty pictures. Cxbrx 18:33, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
File source problem with File:KenKundert.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:KenKundert.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 06:56, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
