Speedy deletion nomination of Jael band

A tag has been placed on Jael band, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. I believe this article should remain as it describes an influential contributor to the South East Queensland music scene and member of a successful international band.—Preceding unsigned comment added by AusMusicBiz (talk • contribs)

Generally, members of bands don't have articles unless they've done noteworthy work independent of the band (see WP:MUSIC). Remember that notability is not inherited. As the band's notability is under question, it may transpire that neither Dunstan nor the band is (currently) worthy of inclusion. Fribbulus Xax (talk) 23:49, 11 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

FYI conflict of interest guideline
