Copyright problems with Image:Adac-gt3-masters-nuerburgring-2007-128.jpg[edit]

An image that you uploaded, Image:Adac-gt3-masters-nuerburgring-2007-128.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. The359 (talk) 13:20, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, actually, there is a problem still. According to the name and website you just gave me, that company merely handles the webservice for Reiter Engineering, building the website and such. However, nowhere on that business website does it cover photography. In fact, Reiter Engineering's very website, which you claim your company produced, has a caption at the bottom of the gallery which contains that picture that says the photos were taken by Markus Berns. He would therefore be the copyright holder, although this is obviously extended to Reiter Engineering itself. However, the company who creates the website is unlikely to have the ability to announce copyright for photographs on the websites they produce. Especially since, if you were to have the source photograph, it'd be of much larger size and quality then the one used on the website, and identical to the one you uploaded.
Therefore there needs to be some proof that you do indeed have the ability to declare copyright status for that photo, especially under the terms in which you uploaded it. The359 (talk) 15:27, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problems with Image:Adac-gt3-masters-nuerburgring-2007-128.jpg[edit]

Okay it was taken for Reiter Engineering - we will get a new one, when the 2008 Gallardos are ready... By the way I will have a meeting with Hans Reiter (Reiter Engineering Owner) at the 4th of Dezember. We will discuss the entry and correct some information after meeting - if it is okay...

Best regards

Alex Reinhardt - sevenfivemedia -Webmaster for Reiter Engineering http://www.reiter-engineering.com/reiter-engineering-impressum.php

In 2008, when a picture is taken by another photographer for Reiter, it will still not be allowable for you to upload it. You, regardless of your job in regards to constructing a website for Reiter Engineering, cannot claim photography copyrights. This also calls into question this image which you've uploaded (twice now). If you did not take this picture, it is not allowed on Wikipedia and should be deleted.
As for the input of Hans Reiter regarding the Wikipedia article, that is not suggested. It would likely be a conflict of interest for someone to work on an article about his own company unless they are providing facts which can be backed up by sources outside of, and not connected to, his own company.
Also, as those responsible for Reiter Engineering's website, please be aware that the Wikipedia article on Wikipedia is not a public relations piece to promote the team and should not be considered an extension of your work on the website. This would also include promoting your own website, so I would suggest not including your company or the companies you work for in your signature. The359 (talk) 00:53, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Reiter-engineering-murcielago-rgt.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Reiter-engineering-murcielago-rgt.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 11:09, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
