Narcissism

“If I were to be a narcissist I will assume that the world is mine, I will have extreme pride in myself, no one will be relevant to me. I will consider myself always, my ego will be extremely high. This is the concept of narcissism.” – – Akinrulie Opeyemi Joshua

Note: I will assume myself to be a narcissist in this article for proper understanding.

   In this concept, it will always be the “I” in every aspect of life. I will always want to be a protagonist or an important person in all spheres of life. I will not admit my mistakes, instead, I will cast the blame on others. What is life, if not my existence only, I will play my games anyhow, afterall, no one can probe me. If that should be the case, I must always remember that the unknown cause is always at work, if I live for today, how about tomorrow? If it is “I”, it is  making sense, I have made my life rigid in such a way that nobody can suggest anything whether good or bad. Life is something to me whereas, it is regarded as nothing. As a matter of fact, if I were to be narcissist all what I will be clamoring for is to be at the pinnacle of everything. Even  if, it involves human sacrifices thus, I have nothing to lose. I will be willing to expand my coast beyond, since I have assumed that all human beings are below. My irrelevances will be  relevant within me, not to all, my heart will beat faster than ever before. I have conceived that the world is mine already,thinking, I would take the world wherever I am going to. How about death? Where am I going?.

   As a matter of fact, narcissism is different from egoism. Every man is an egoist, you tend to consider yourself in all aspects before others. That is a normal circumstance. But a narcissist will always take his or her own interests extremely. If the world were to be “I”, it will make no sense, I will be left alone to build my own world without a divided labour. How will I survive? How will I reason? Who will I reason for?. At times, you tend to reason with  others which will yield an applaud, imagine you were to be the only one in this world. Who will applaud you? Stones? Yourself? Will it make sense?. I have disapproved different thoughts by people , because of my thoughts even, for my thoughts to be relevant I will need the approval of people to progress. How about that?. I want to enjoy my life smoothly without any interference, yet, I am always thinking of myself, what I will become in future is an action of today, if that is not the case, why am I planning?.

   I have played a role of a narcissist in this article, but, I am not a narcissist. I am not saying that to be a narcissist is bad, perhaps, who am I to judge.
