A tag has been placed on I Love Money Kids (Season 1), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Notability. This "show" has no connection with VH1 and is created by a few kids and a video camera using wikipedia as a way to promote their online videos.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

AfD nomination of NCAA bdc[edit]

I have nominated NCAA bdc, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/NCAA bdc. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Hi there,

Before you put more work into this article, I think it's only fair to point out that it will probably be nominated for deletion (if not speedy deletion). This is because- as it currently stands- it doesn't explain why the subject is notable.

It appears to be an informal user-created/personal spinoff of a TV show that hasn't even been made yet. Sorry if I sound like a git for saying this, but if it's not notable then it'll likely be deleted. Ubcule (talk) 23:20, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD Nomination: I Love Money Kids[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that I Love Money Kids meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/I Love Money Kids. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last five days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. Ubcule (talk) 23:37, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Promotion[edit]

You can't use Wikipedia for promoting a new show, you know. Everything here has to be backed up in sources that are independent of the subject of the article. That means that someone in the mainstream media (or, probably less likely, in academia), has to write about the show in some published source - not published by the makers of the show.

You might want to read our policy: What Wikipedia is not. Thanks for understanding. -GTBacchus(talk) 06:16, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on I Love Money Kids requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Blocked[edit]

You have been blocked from editing for violating Wikipedia policy. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by replying here on your talk page by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}}. You may also email the blocking administrator or any administrator from this list instead, or mail unblock-en-l@mail.wikimedia.org.

I have blocked your account from editing Wikipedia, and I have removed from your user page the article you've been posting. Wikipedia is not a vehicle to promote your project, and you can't use it as one.

If you feel that the show you're writing about is a legitimate topic for a Wikipedia article, then you can post to this talk page here, and we can talk about it. It will have to comply with our policies; in particular it will have to be written from source material that has been published by some entity independent of the show's creators.

Simply recreating the page over and over again doesn't work, you see. I've also adjusted the protection settings so that nobody but an administrator can create a page called I Love Money Kids. Thanks for understanding that we've got policies here, and if you're not even willing to talk about how you can follow those, then you don't get to contribute anymore.

If you want to be unblocked, you can use the template {{unblock}}, as noted above. It's going to boil down to this: if you want to contribute here, you're going to have to talk to us about problems that arise.

Perhaps I'll be hearing from you soon. Have a good day. -GTBacchus(talk) 22:27, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
