August 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. CTJF83Talk 20:15, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Chick Cancer. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. CTJF83Talk 07:36, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

December 2009[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When you make a change to an article, please provide an edit summary for your edits. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit. It is also useful when reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. BMRR (talk) 05:37, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Roger Ebert[edit]

Hi. Thanks for adding some material to the Roger Ebert article. However, I read through the source you provided for Ebert's influence on Richard Corliss, and could not find any mention of this. Can you tell me which page of that article it's on, or quote the passage in question that establishes this? Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 01:47, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bill Maher and Don Imus[edit]

Hi -- do you have a source that states that Don Imus is one of Maher's influences or are you just assuming it? You can answer here. Thanks! ∴ Therefore cogito·sum 23:53, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Stephen King[edit]

Hi. Please do not add unsourced material or original research to articles, as you did with this edit to Stephen, as this violates Wikipedia's policies of No Original Research and Verifiability. Wikipedia requires that all material added to articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable sources explicitly cited in the text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. Thanks. :-) Nightscream (talk) 23:33, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

August 2011[edit]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Stephen Hunter. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.--ShelfSkewed Talk 16:42, 16 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Lyra-Belacqua.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 22:59, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
