Our draft of "Telespazio VEGA Deutschland": Questions about some sources

[edit]

We wrote an encyclopedic article about the aerospace company "Telespazio VEGA Deutschland" I selected as many neutral sources as possible (from scientific publications and conferences). But some sources are in German, some others are weblinks. How should I handle these sources? Mention them or leave them? What should I add or leave before publishing? Any comments are greatly appreciated! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Telespazio_VEGA_Deutschland_GmbH Bettina Wurche (meertext) (talk) 12:10, 3 November 2016 (UTC)Bettina Wurche (meertext)--[reply]

Hi Bettina Wurche. It's not really necessary to delete the old page - it now exists as a redirect, meaning that any user who lands on that page from a search will be automatically redirected to the correct title (try it - here's the link: Telespazio VEGA Deutschland GmbH). If you really want it deleting, then you can tag the page with {{db-author}}, but it's not really necessary; as we say on Wikipedia, redirects are cheap. Yunshui  11:29, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Ach, my bad - hadn't realised you'd moved this into project space. I've put it back in article space where it belongs; give me five minutes to tidy up. Yunshui  11:32, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, so that's all fixed now. A couple of things you need to know, though: firstly, if you want to edit a page, please either do it in situ or copy it to your sandbox or a draft and work on it there. Don't move articles into the "Wikipedia:" namespace; that's solely for project-related material such as policies and guidelines. Secondly, given what you've posted on the talkpage of the article, you appear to have a conflict of interest regarding the topic, and so you need to make sure you're abiding by the best practice guidelines for users in your situation. In particular, you need to declare on your userpage if you have received any sort of compensation for writing the article.
The article itself - from the admittedly brief once-over I gave it - looks to be okay, but I've tagged it so that the relevant Wikiprojects can take a look. Yunshui  11:40, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much for your kind help. I apologize for my mistake. Thanks for tagging for the relevant Wikiprojects, I would like to get their feedback. As a science writer, I gave my very best to write objective good content with many sources and no advertising stuff, I am really an aerospace enthusiastic. --Bettina Wurche (meertext) (talk) 18:18, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

COI

[edit]

Dear Wikipedians, the article "Telespazio VEGA Deutschland" is a neutral written encyclopaedic information. It states facts from independent reliable sources, mostly scientific publications and conference papers, as I mention in the references. I am a science writer (and Wiki-author) and aerospace enthusiast and came in contact with Telespazio VEGA Deutschland during some spacecraft-start-events at ESOC. Up to now articles about Telespazio VEGA UK and Telespazio SPA exist, and we decided, that Telespazio VEGA Deutschland should have its own Wikipedia article. The background: Up to 2012, there was one company Telespazio, for Germany and UK, with one Wikipedia-article. In 2012 The German company VEGA Space GmbH merges with Telespazio Deutschland in Telespazio VEGA Deutschland. Also in 2012, VEGA Space Ltd changes its name in Telespazio VEGA UK. Telespazio VEGA UK took over the Wiki-article. I think, it would be fair, when Telespazio VEGA Deutschland gets its own Wiki-article. So I offered to write it. It would be great, if some neutral editors would review the text. Any constructive comments and suggestions for improvement are greatly appreciated. I will be paid with a expense allowance.--Bettina Wurche (meertext) (talk) 18:27, 12 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
