48 hour block[edit]

For soapboxing and contentious edits,[1][2], neutral point of view violations,[3] and repeated posting of frivolous noticeboard complaints.[4][5][6][7] Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a forum for engaging in ethnic disputes. DurovaCharge! 17:32, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Albanian language[edit]

Hi Bibliophilus. I have reverted your edit to the article on the Albanian language, because it contradicted (and misrepresented) the source used, Ethnologue, by literally tripling the number of Albanian-speakers. If you think that Ethnologue's numbers are inaccurate, please, discuss the issue at the article's talk page instead of simply modifying the article. If you haven't done so yet, please familiarize yourself with our neutral point of view, verifiability & no original research core policies first. - Best regards, Ev 00:07, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have raised the issue at the administrators' noticeboard for incidents (diff.), where you may want to comment. - Regards, Ev 10:23, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted, yet again, the same edit to the article. Please, keep in mind that per our verifiability policy "[t]he threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth." To be included in the article, the claim that the total number of Albanian speakers is the triple of that mentioned by Ethnologue would need to be attributed to a reliable, published source using an inline citation. Otherwise, such content would constitute original research on our part.

If you think that Ethnologue's numbers are inaccurate, please, discuss the issue at the article's talk page instead of simply modifying the article. - Regards, Ev 10:42, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

1 month block[edit]

For repeating the behaviour which lead to your just fnished 48 hour block, and especially for changing the numbers in a reference, going against everything Wikipedia should be[8], you have been reblocked for 1 month. Continuation of this behaviour after this block has expired may lead to an indefinite block next time. Fram 16:06, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for violating Wikipedia policy. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by replying here on your talk page by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}}. You may also email the blocking administrator or any administrator from this list instead, or mail unblock-en-l@mail.wikimedia.org.
