Animals discovered by year
[edit]You have created an article on Animals Discovered By Year. What are you hoping to achieve with it? Capitalistroadster 07:42, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Archiacanthocephala
[edit]Why did you blank this article?
Also was eats man what you actually wanted to say?
From the linked article I am assuming the creature concerned is some kind of parasitic tape-worm? If so it might be worth mentioning that in the article.. ShakespeareFan00 16:46, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Hey, just wanted to say that you shouldn't feel discouraged because of the response at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Animals Discovered In 1758. You've done some good work with creation of articles and the addition of taxonomic information to other articles. Keep it up.
I think Animals Discovered By Year is an interesting concept, but will prove functionally awkward. I think User:Lambiam is right to suggest categories would be a better way to organize this. Hopefully you'll be willing to devote your time and subject knowledge to making the relevant categories and categorizing the various clades. Anyways, thanks for your efforts and keep up the good work. -- Scientizzle 19:45, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

Tapirus indicus var. brevetianus
[edit]Hi, Bill Darwin, thanks for adding the info on all-black tapirs to the Malayan tapir page! I couldn't find references to some of the stuff you put up, so I was hoping you could add citations when you get a chance. I made some edits to your new section to remove POV and clean up spelling (as well as adding a reference to melanistic tapirs observed in 2000), and it would be great if you could expand on it more. Thanks! Sasha Kopf 21:16, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
- I received the information from the book Mysteries Of Planet Earth by Dr. Karl P.N. Shuker. How would I cite from this material?(Bill Darwin 21:25, 15 June 2006 (UTC))
- I would take a look at this page as a starting point, and you can also see how I created my citation on the Malayan tapir page (just go to "Edit this page" and see the format I used) - although I'm not very good at citations myself, so I don't know if I did it the best way.
