Speedy deletion nomination of Klajdi Jaupi[edit]

A tag has been placed on Klajdi Jaupi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Speedy deletion[edit]

Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia.

I'm sorry, but this has been deleted as meeting WP:CSD. Generally, articles are speedily deleted when there is no assertion of significance or they fall into things to avoid. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources providing verifiable information. Any deficiencies should be remedied before reposting.

For basic information on beginning to write an article see User:Dloh/new.

Sourcing is incredibly important for an encyclopedia. Be sure to list your sources at the bottom of the article.

Speedy deletion cancelled for Klajdi Jaupi and Bim Jaupi[edit]

Hello,

Just a quick note that I removed the speedy deletion tags from these articles. I believe that both articles are about subjects who are likely to be notable, which makes them inappropriate for speedy deletion.

Hello, I thought it odd that a German footballer should have an Albanian name. I searched for sources in German and English to support footballers by these names and found none. There is a Klajdi on the Albania national basketball team. You also changed info on Besa Kavajë ‎adding Kladji and removing someone else. Besa article also lists a Bim. It's incredible to me that notable professional footballers in Germany and England should not have supporting Google hits. If you can provide me with reliable sources to support the deleted articles, I'd be much obliged. Thanks, Dloh cierekim 01:40, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

To clarify, I was objecting to A7 deletion and I did not notice that the articles were hoaxes. Their deletion under G3 was appropriate, and in fact I noted my agreement with the G3 deletion in the articles before they were deleted :) Thparkth (talk) 01:42, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
