Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. I am sorry if you thought I was spamming. I was just inserting an external link to the page to a website that I thought was very relevant to the subject matter of page - ie: the page is about rivers and the website is also pertaining to rivers and seems to be earnestly researched and hardly inappropriate. I'm sorry that I put this information out in quick succession on a few pages and it obviously appeared to be spam to you! All I can say to you is that I acted in good faith and had no malicious or devious intention Birdhillbilly (talk) 16:56, 19 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link, as you did at List of loughs of Ireland. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines.
