If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Blaenavon bowls club requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Reaper Eternal (talk) 19:22, 9 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Speedy at Blaenavon bowls club

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Blaenavon bowls club, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hang on}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 19:41, 9 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

if you tell me whats wrong i will change it please do not delete i worked hard for 3 hours i am being nice contrubuting to your website i have things to do this just the team i watch every saturday and i think they are good and should be known. they have a lot of history i just have'nt put it in yet

I have deleted the article. The problem was not that it was considered advertising, but rather that there was no reasonable claim of notability. A 21 member amateur sports club is generally not going to be sufficiently notable for an encyclopedia article. You can click here to see a partial list of websites that will host content not suitable for Wikipedia.

I'm afraid there is also another problem. Your chosen username is a blatant violation of out username policy in that it is obviously intended to represent a real world organization as opposed to an individual. You will need to either file a request to change it or create a new account with a non-infringing name. Please indicate here which of these options you would prefer. Thanks. Blocked

[edit]
This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, Blaenavon Bowling Club, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.
