[edit]Thanks for not taking the revert I made personally. The issue with your edit is that, as you correctly stated, support for independence is a super minor movement, to the point it's not really worth saying anything in Wikipedia's voice about it. Compare to Texas secession movements and you can see there's quite a bit of coverage of that in the news. I found one article in the news about New England secession [1] which states the group is eleven people. It's very telling that the vast majority of the results I found from a search online are about secession proposals dating to the War of 1812, as discussed in Hartford Convention.
