Thanks for adding secondary sources

[edit]

Thanks for adding secondary sources on [1] You said Citations should have been added instead of removing the intormation. I add the sources when I know them and add tags to short things but long quotes with no reliable source I remove if I dont know a source for because WP:RSP#WikiLeaks and The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material. You added the sources but your account is new and you thought it should have been added instead of removing the intormation. I add the sources when I know them but The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material so I wanted to tell you about the WP:Verifiability and WP:Burden policy Softlem (talk) 17:25, 19 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page Diego Garcia has an edit summary that appears to be inadequate, inaccurate, or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. Assume good faith Softlem (talk) 15:29, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Diego Garcia. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. - FlightTime (open channel) 15:52, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
