List of Formula One World Drivers' Champions

[edit]

Thanks for the link. After careful consideration, I did not put my item on List of Formula One World Drivers' Champions, but instead at 2009 Formula One season#Report; it's at the bottom of that section. I have updated Talk:List of Formula One World Drivers' Champions#Jenson Button accordingly.

If you want to reply to a comment left on an article's talk page, it's best to add it just under the original, that way it keeps topic-related discussion in one place, and others will see that you have helped; but they will only see that it was you if you sign your message by typing four tildes (~~~~), as I have done here: Redrose64 (talk) 12:21, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Brer

[edit]

Hello, Borisbadgerbear. I see that you have created a user page; jolly good. However, you put:

Bear is a play on the Beatrix Potter "Brer"

I don't recall Beatrix Potter using "Brer", although I must admit that I didn't read all 23 of her books. To me, "Brer" conjures up images of characters in the works of Joel Chandler Harris, particularly Br'er Rabbit and, indeed, Br'er Bear. "Br'er" is, of course, short for "Brother". --Redrose64 (talk) 20:20, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wow - I've learned something new today! All these years I thought it was Beatrix Potter. Will update my page immediately with proper recognition to Mr. Harris. Borisbadgerbear (talk) 12:41, 6 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've just come across this article and I thought you ought to know about it... --Redrose64 (talk) 15:22, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
