Hello, Bostonprgirl, welcome to Wikipedia, and congratulations on making your first successful edit! You'll be getting lots of help over the next couple of weeks as you write your first article; but if you ever want more, look to the left, at Wikipedia's own supporting documentation. A tag has been placed on Carol Bachofner, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

moved newly-created, AFC-tagged article to Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Carol Bachofner, delete cross-space redirect

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion".

I moved the page because you used the "afc submission" template, which specifically requests a review before the article is moved to the main page of the encyclopedia. If I am incorrect and you no longer want it reviewed, contest the deletion and ask the administrator to undo my move. If the article has already been deleted, you can go to Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Carol Bachofner and move it back. Be sure to follow the instructions here to clean up the leftover bits. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 02:59, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Use WP:MOVE instead of copying and pasting[edit]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give User:Bostonprgirl/sandbox a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Carol Bachofner, which I recently moved to Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Carol Bachofner so it can be made ready for the main encyclopedia. The copy-and-paste technique you used is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history. I have requested that an administrator merge the histories of User:Bostonprgirl/sandbox and Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Carol Bachofner, no further action is required on your part and you are encouraged to continue editing Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Carol Bachofner.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 03:05, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for editing Wikipedia! Need help?[edit]

Hello Bostonprgirl, thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! I want to invite you to the Teahouse, a forum on Wikipedia for new editors to ask questions about editing Wikipedia, and get support from peers and experienced editors. I hope you see you there! davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 03:59, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for all the confusion over Carol Bachofner[edit]

Many times someone wants to submit something for review and use the {{Afc submission}} template but they create the article in the main encyclopedia instead of in Wikipedia Talk:Articles for creation/Article name goes here. When this happens, experienced editors will move it to its temporary home for cleanup and improvement. Sometimes mistakes happen, and today was one of those times. Please accept my apologies for making you think I had deleted your article and for making you spend valuable time asking to have it put back, time which could have been spent improving the article or writing other articles. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 04:06, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
