A barnstar for you![edit]

The Original Barnstar
For your creation and addition of most vital content to Bektashism in Albania. Cheers :). Calthinus (talk) 16:49, 16 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Calthinus, thank you for the barnstar. I've only just started the article but there is so much more to write about with a whole bunch of sources. Feel free to contribute to the article! Botushali (talk) 00:25, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Source suggestion[edit]

Hey, hope you're well. I have added a source to your draft about Bektashism in Albania. --Maleschreiber (talk) 04:47, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thank you, I’m sure it will prove useful - feel free to contribute! Botushali (talk) 12:33, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Botushali. Saw that your doing a Bektashism in Albania article. In depth sources are: Albert Doja, A political history of Bektashism in Albania [1] and Harry Norris, Islam in the Balkans: religion and society between Europe and the Arab world [2]. Ger Duijzings, Religion and the Politics of Identity in Kosovo [3] also has content that covers Bektashi's in Albania and about Naim Frasheri influencing them or there abouts. Andrea II Muzaka[edit]

Hello! I was wondering for the Andrea II Muzaka page can you also add the part where he recieved a throne? Thanks Arberian2444 (talk) 21:30, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a source for that? Botushali (talk) 03:33, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah it was on the talk page you posted it ;-;
"George Christos Soulis, The Serbs and Byzantium During The Reign of Tsar Stephen Dusan 1331-1355 and His Successors (1984) p.142: After Dušan's death the Musachis extended their territory southward. We have already seen how Andrew Musachi, with the help of his sons-in-law Balša and Gropa, took the city of Kastoria from Marko Kraljević. The same Andrew also came into conflict with King Vukašin. As a reward for his victory, Andrew received from the Byzantine emperor investiture over Kastoria, the title of the despot of Epirus with the privilege of the golden seal, and a throne embroidered with the imperial emblems in pearls." Arberian2444 (talk) 04:15, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm hesitant to add that on without more sources to back up that part - I think it may be some sort of mistranslation. Muzaka was presented with the Imperial emblem by the Byzantine emperor John V, I am not so sure that it was a throne. Botushali (talk) 00:50, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Some Help[edit]

Hello! Im still kinda new to wikipedia and im not sure how to report someone on here. But Theirs this user called GreekCaptain2003 and he keeps Vandalizing the Page Dushmani family and other pages connected to it. Do you know what to do? Thank you! Arberian2444 (talk) 19:42, 23 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Arberian2444, when dealing with an editor who keeps edit-warring or vandalising certain pages, the first step is to place the appropriate warnings on their user talk page. Relevant templates for warnings might include Template:Uw-3rr, but you can also find more templates here - CAT:UWT.
If they do not stop what you see as a violation of Wiki rules, or they begin to behave in a WP:UNCIVIL manner, I'd suggest reporting them to the admins here - Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents. Make sure you include diffs (i.e. examples of edits) as well as examples of you trying to communicate with them. This is the best option; avoid getting into drawn-out edit wars or uncivil conflicts over articles, because it will trap you into a cycle of constant disputes with certain editors which is ultimately unproductive. Don't fall for provocations and don't engage in discussions in a manner which may possibly allow people to produce evidence against you in a report to the admins.
This is something I wish I had done more when I first began Wikipedia - it would have made my time on here a lot more enjoyable and easier. Just play by the rules, use the Wikipedia guidelines, the policies and admins to solve whatever disputes you might have over articles and their content. Just refrain from petty engagements with people who clearly have an agenda or are not here for the right reasons. Botushali (talk) 23:17, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much! It was so confusing trying to figure out what to do when people started vandalizing some articles I just kept watching and waiting for an experienced person to do something about it. Thank you again! Your probably the nicest person I met on this website so far! I also had a question are you Albanian as well? Arberian2444 (talk) 23:39, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No worries - anytime! Botushali (talk) 23:46, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
