MM1

[edit]

Hey, I see you've been working on the article MM1. I played that game for months, but never finished it. Yet, it had a great effect on me. I still remember many of my characters; Wizz Bane, Serene, Zenon III, etc. The game lost some contrast when I met those aliens, but it was still very exciting--in my opinion, the best MM1 game. Have you played the new MM game from Ubisoft? Is it any good or just some cool graphics? --Thus Spake Anittas 00:06, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My reply, OP to Anittas's talk page: Re your comments on my talk page about Might and Magic: I have not played Dark Messiah of Might and Magic as my home computer does not meet the requirements - it's really more suited for playing MM1! I have read elsewhere that it is more of an action game than RPG, and there is no reference in it to the classic Might and Magic continuity. So I'm in no hurry. BreathingMeat 00:45, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

Okay, well, good work on adding those sources to the article. --Thus Spake Anittas 01:02, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Mm6.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Mm6.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:09, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cauldron (Shackled City)

[edit]

I'm wondering if you would mind reading the comment that I left at the AfD discussion for Cauldron (Shackled City), which you've already commented on. If you still feel the same way, so be it, but I'd like to think that I've made a useful point. Thanks. -Harmil 00:23, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for adding fair use rationales to images. You can remove the delete tag from an image after you add a rationale. Regards, Bláthnaid 16:21, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Might magic4.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Might magic4.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 16:19, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

D&D articles for Wikipedia 0.7

[edit]

Hi there!  :)

As someone who's worked on D&D and/or RPG articles before, I'm inviting you to participate in our goal to both improve articles that have been selected to be placed in the next Wikipedia DVD release, as well as nominate more to be selected for this project. Please see the WikiProject D&D talk page for more details. :) BOZ (talk) 15:12, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for your uploads. You've indicated that the following images are being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why they meet Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page an image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --09:09, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject: Dungeons & Dragons

[edit]

Hi! I’ve been working on a lot of ‘’Dungeons & Dragons’’ articles lately and saw that you were a member of WikiProject Dungeons & Dragons), and am inviting you to rejoin Wikipedia’s D&D group. I've been hard at work removing tags placed inappropriately on D&D articles, as well as modifying articles to remove tags that were placed legitimately. In addition, I have been compiling related articles together so that the articles are longer, making it easier to remove tags and to have short articles on lesser topics by just putting it into another appropriate article (links to such compiled articles can be found on my userpage). Check out the project here , and ask any questions that you may have here. Thank you for your time. Drilnoth (talk) 20:31, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Mm9.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Mm9.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 17:33, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
