Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. Request reason:

Alright I think I understand the problem now and will not make the error of posting a website for a source which has my name on it, even if it not a commercial site. Can I get unblocked now please? Thanks.

Accept reason:

As you have agreed to not link to your personal website in article space I have unblocked your account. Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 20:31, 17 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I think the real problem here is that you can't link to your own website on Wikipedia - that flagged your username as being improper, but if you don't link to your own site again, the username shouldn't be a problem. --jpgordon::==( o ) 04:23, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to chime in that having a little incidental "Hey, here's my personal website, by the by" kind of thing on your userpage is acceptable if you're otherwise productively editing on Wikipedia. Full-on advertising is no good, but unless the policy has changed without my noticing, a personal non-commercial website is fine to link in your own userspace. - Vianello (Talk) 04:15, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
