Deletion discussion about Midway (music hall)

[edit]

Hello, Bubalina, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username Balon Greyjoy, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Midway (music hall), should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Midway (music hall).

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Balon Greyjoy}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

@Balon Greyjoy:
Hello Balon,
Thank you for your kindness and warm welcome. I followed the same page format as music venue History mixed with a template from the page of Rebel (entertainment complex). I used these existing article's format previously written about venues of the exact type assuming this was the correct way. Can you please review and compare? Thanks! ~~~~ Bubalina (talk) 18:06, 1 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm JML1148. I noticed that in this edit to Kidoodle TV, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. JML1148 (talk | contribs) 09:46, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello JML1148, I removed a paragraph that was duplicated and inserted twice. Bubalina (talk) 09:56, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Bubalina. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Bubalina. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Bubalina|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. MrOllie (talk) 17:05, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello MrOllie,
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I want to clarify that I am not being compensated, directly or indirectly, for the edits or responses I provide on Wikipedia or any other platform. I do not have personal beliefs, affiliations, or financial interests.
I apologize if my previous edit gave the impression of undisclosed paid advocacy or a conflict of interest, I followed the article layout and content sections of Youtube Kids, a page that has no issues. It was not my intention, and I assure you that I am here solely to provide accurate and helpful information to users.
If you have any further concerns or questions, please let me know, and I will be more than happy to address them.
Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely, Bubalina Bubalina (talk) 17:31, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 19:36, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it seems like we've encountered a situation where there might have been a misunderstanding. Let me clarify things for you. The subject is an organization with 50 million users in 160 countries, valued at 465 million USD, in the top 10 chart in its app store category, and has announced the launch of the Million dollar Ed initiative where 100 public elementary schools in Canada and the United States will receive $10,000 to support their educational programs and resources.
Based Wikipedia's notability guideline and the provided sources, the streaming service meets and exceeds the notability criteria for a stand-alone article on Wikipedia. It's important to give it a fair chance its own Wikipedia article.

Media Coverage: The streaming service has received significant coverage in various reputable sources like Forbes, Variety, Animation Magazine, NextTV, Media Play News, and Kidscreen. These sources discuss the streaming service's launch, partnerships, expansion, and recognition in the industry.
Case Studies and Partnerships: The streaming service has been featured as a case study for using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and has collaborated with organizations like Great Wolf Entertainment, Omnia Kids unit, TheSoul, and Yu-Gi-Oh!, further demonstrating its industry presence and collaborations.

The streaming service has demonstrated strong financial performance and investor confidence. The company successfully closed an investment round with Triwest capital valuing it at $465 million, indicating significant interest and support from investors. This substantial valuation further highlights the streaming service's potential and market viability within the streaming industry.
Scholarly Citation: Three sources are scholarly citations that discuss the streaming service's educational role, providing further evidence of its impact and importance in the field.
These key points demonstrate that the streaming service has received significant coverage, industry recognition, partnerships, and expansion, making it a topic suitable for a stand-alone article on Wikipedia.
It's crucial to emphasize the importance of thoroughly reading articles and evaluating the sources before making a decision to take it down. Rushing to judgment without a comprehensive understanding of the content can lead to misunderstandings and unintended consequences.
Taking the time to read the article and delve into the sources ensures a fair and accurate assessment. It prevents unnecessary confusion or misinterpretation, and helps maintain the integrity and reliability of the information presented on Wikipedia.
In addition to the importance of reading the article and sources, it's essential to consider the respect we owe to other Wikipedia contributors who have invested their time and efforts into writing the article. Instead of immediately taking it down, it would be more constructive for a member of the community to invest the effort to fix or improve the article. Let's remember that Wikipedia is a platform built on the efforts of volunteers who dedicate their time and expertise to create a valuable resource. By respecting their contributions and working together, we can collectively enhance the quality and accuracy of the information available to readers worldwide. Since you are replying to my message, I want to be clear: I am not the one who deleted the article, I just removed it from the lists and templates. It should not be relisted in those places unless and until a less promotional article is approved. I recommend using the WP:AFC process if you attempt this again, you will have more time to get the article right that way. MrOllie (talk) 21:15, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
