Welcome to Wikipedia. It would be appreciated if you would not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with User:MQDuck/userboxes/Right To Resist. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Hi, Thank you for your reply. Wouldn't it be just fair to apply the same principals to you as well, meaning: if you oppose an idea...don't just go ahead and mark it for deletion ..instead discuss it and talk about it as you said!

Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 2006-07

[edit]

I moved it to match the title of the main article: Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 as should be the case. If this article title is wrong, please move it.

Also, do not mark my edits as vandalism. Doing so using Twinkle may result in your permission to use the tool being removed. пﮟოьεԻ 57 08:05, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm. I see you've reverted quite a few of my edits. This is not a readable article - we do not need massive copies of the club badges - the table is more than sufficient to provide the information. пﮟოьεԻ 57 08:09, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Also, when you want to add more than one template to an article, you can nest them, i.e.
{{fb start}}
{{Ligue Professional 1}}
{{Football in Tunisia}}
{{fb end}}
This removes the spaces between the templates and makes it look better. пﮟოьεԻ 57 08:27, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Are you Tunisian soccer fan? Do you follow Tunisian soccer? Do you know how crazy Tunisians are about soccer?

It's quite significant to have the logos in every single article. To indicate the history and the differences. so please could you not do any cleanup in Tunisian soccer related pages unless you open a discussion about it, please. Also I'm well aware of the space that the layout leaves...and you think it looks better but it's not a fact ...since there was no survey about it.

One quick question: Why was your page Vandalised more than 15 times??

BYF079: "Faïcel Ben Yedder" (talk) 08:38, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but it isn't significant, and it isn't necessary and it makes the article much harder to read. Have a look at Premier League 2007-08; this is the kind of thing you should be aiming for. If you disagree, please bring it up on WT:FOOTY. As for the spaces between the boxes; if people were happy with it, they wouldn't have developed the nesting technique.
My userpage has been vandalised by morons who don't understand that articles about their 5-a-side football club, or ones that advertise their company, have no place on Wikipedia. пﮟოьεԻ 57 08:45, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

But who decides what goes into wikipedia and what doesn't?

Twinkle warning

[edit]

Do not use Twinkle for edit such as this or this. Claiming other users' edits are vandalism when they are clearly not amounts to improper use. Next time you use it improperly you be reported and possibly have your privelege to use it removed. пﮟოьεԻ 57 09:26, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you really think I am only here to delete things, have a look at User:Number 57/New articles - this doesn't even include the 50+ articles on Israeli villages I have created recently. I don't have time to go around every group of articles, so if you know of something which isn't standard, then try to fix it yourself. пﮟოьεԻ 57 09:36, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

NOT EVERYTHING HAS TO BE SLANDERED...THERE SHOULD BE DIFFERENCES!

There is another reason you can't include the club badges (I had suspected it, but wasn't sure) as under fair use rules you can only use them in the article about the club itself. пﮟოьεԻ 57 09:44, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, I'm not slandering you, I'm just pointing out how things are generally done. We have to make the articles as readable as possible. Your contributions are more than welcome - Tunisia is probably one of the best covered African leagues thanks to your work. However, we all need to accept constructive criticism - when I first joined most of my edits were corrected, and now I look back at some of my early work, it is embarrasingly bad. I don't want to drive you away from Wikipedia, but please accept some advice. пﮟოьεԻ 57 09:46, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

That isn't the case if the article is still related to Tunisian football. Do you think that this is standard: Ligat ha'Al 2007-08 why don't you make it look like the English premiere league. Please give me some time and I'll make all those page and quite standard in my own way.

It is the case. Fair use rationale only allows the badges in one article, i.e. that of the club - have a look at the explanation in Image:Ipswich Town badge.gif. You cannot justify its use in season-by-season articles as it is not needed to identify the subject in them.
Aside from the map (which is a useful picture), the Ligat ha'Al 2007-08 is fairly standard, i.e. Introduction - League table - Results - Top scorers - Templates. I wouldn't have organised the results like that, but it doesn't make it unreadable. пﮟოьεԻ 57 10:00, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And the fact that the articles stayed deleted showed that I was justified in deleting them. пﮟოьεԻ 57 10:45, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tunisian football club logos

[edit]

Because logos are only allowed on Wikipedia under a Fair Use rationale, which their use on the Tunisian league page would not qualify for. – PeeJay 14:20, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

OK, the reason for this is that logos are copyrighted, and so Wikipedia would have to pay a license fee in order to use them. However, since Wikipedia is "the free encyclopedia", this is not possible. Fortunately, there is something known as Fair Use, which allows the use of copyrighted material in special circumstances where the use of the logo significantly increases the understanding of the article. Using the logos on the Tunisian League 2008-09 page does not qualify as fair use as using them there is essentially decorative and does not help to increase the understanding of the article. Hope that explains it. – PeeJay 09:10, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Logos on Commons

[edit]

Your logos uploaded to Commons are for speedy deletion. See Commons:Village pump#Unfree images. Fair Use is not was never accepted on Commons, you dont have the holder of copyrights, the painters, the FIFAs permission, you uploaded the images under a wrong claim of authorship in many cases, your licensing with commons:Template:Attribution is different to your claimed "fair use". --Martin H. (talk) 17:01, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I removed one reason, appears to be your website. --Martin H. (talk) 19:16, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
According to your post: ???.
What should this mean? I deleted the images from Commons according to our copyright policy. The Logos are probably protected by copyright, the copyright belongs to the individual clubs - not to you or your website. So without a written permission from the clubs that everyone can use their logo for every purpose including unrestricted commercial use the logos are simply unfree. See commons:Commons:Licensing#Acceptable licenses - the second part of this paragraph says:
For example, the following are generally not allowed: [...] Copyrighted symbols, logos, etc. (Not to be confused with trademarks.).
I gave you 2 days to provide permission indication or at least to response, you did not do anything. So the Logos had to go for breaking the law. --Martin H. (talk) 12:43, 14 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You had the time. If permission is given to unrestricted commercial use for everyone (not only you, not only wikipedia - everyone) it should be no problem for you to forward you permission to OTRS and you images can be restored. Without a written permission from every single copyright holder for every single logo the deletion is totaly ok. No fair use on Commons - maybe you mixed this up with the rules on en.Wikipedia. --Martin H. (talk) 21:23, 14 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This was not your serious answer... I just told you with a link: Fair use is not accepted on Commons. It was never and it will never be accepted. And you realy wounder, why your images on Commons are deleted and you logos on Wikipedia under fair use still exist? You uploaded logos on wikipedia are under fair use and part of Wikipedias unfree content. --Martin H. (talk) 21:43, 14 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
