Rayleigh Ratio

Re: Rayleigh ratio

Sorry, I thought that would be ok given the source being iupac. If you could just somehow send me back the code, I'll edit the sentences in order to conform to the requirements. Cheers, Mike—Preceding unsigned comment added by Michael zh (talkcontribs)

Playstation Home

Thanks for moving the Picture of the XMB to a different location, and putting the Lair trophy back. I am the one who put the XMB picture there and I know some people were pretty bummed when I removed the Lair picture. Great fix!—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Humphreys7 (talkcontribs) 13:25, 24 July 2007.

PS3 Store

What you have said is incorrect. You cannot access the American PS3 store from Japan.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 133.19.126.5 (talkcontribs)

Hmm, I can't say for sure about Japan, but I know I've heard of people creating accounts for Europe, Australia, and Japan in the US to access the associated store while still in the US. So whether or not your statement is true for Japan, it is not true for all PS3 consoles. CamannTALK 14:31, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
Also, I feel inclined to mention that I also have registered a Japanese account in the US. I really enjoyed that Folkssoul demo! So this isn't just hearsay. CamannTALK 19:40, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

CC-BY-SA-3.0

firstly, I'm a little unclear on the relationship between wikimedia and wikipedia (the discussion you pointed to was a wikimedia page) and how that affects the licensing of images uploaded to wikipedia. Secondly, how would I get current, meaningful discussion to take place about its use within wikipedia? — Timothy (not Tim, dagnabbit!) 20:53, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

thanks for helping my understanding.— Timothy (not Tim, dagnabbit!) 21:42, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi. I got a message saying that my new entry was marked for speedy deletion b/c it was advertising, but it is just information about my company (similar to what is up there on another page for another subsidiary) so I'm not sure what is wrong with it?

Also, I got a message saying that my logo was owned by some company called 4jobs.com (which it is not---it's our logo). I'm not sure what to do, as today is my first day doing WIKI.Thank you.--MaureenCH 18:23, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

I saw the message you put on my user page and removed (the talk page is for questions, but I guess you figured out something was wrong since you removed it). You should probably stay out of editing things about your company. It's really hard for people to effectively edit when they have a conflict of interest. Just read up on the conflict of interest page, you're probably going to have to request that the page is created and edited to ensure any COI matters don't come forth. I know it'll be hard, but you should avoid editing for any reason other than getting rid of vandalism or spam when it comes to your company's article.
Also, if you feel another article was written in a similar style, it may also be eligible for speedy deletion. Feel free to bring it to the attention of an editor. Wikipedia is a big place and it is hard to watch everything. CamannTALK 18:44, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Thank you.--MaureenCH 18:57, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

You're welcome. It was no trouble. CamannTALK 19:44, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

I took this on as part of WP:LoCE, and it appears to have been a translation from the Italian original. I didn't make the translation, I just took on the horribly unidiomatic English. I'd appreciate advice in the best way to proceed in this case.— Timotab Timothy (not Tim, dagnabbit!) 20:21, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

You mean about the citations? The tag is much like the copyeditors tag that was on the article before, it will bring in new people to help with it. If you have time, just google for information. The uncited tag just added the page to the group of pages without citations (notice the category below the article). If you need help with how citations work, I'd suggest reading up on WP:FOOT and WP:CIT. If you want, you can ignore the tag completely... it's purpose is just to let other editors who are experienced in dealing with uncited articles know. You've done great to get the article to this point. I looked through the history. It was a COMPLETE mess before. CamannTALK 01:35, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
