Please note that I have reported you to Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism for persistently creating spam redirects. – ukexpat (talk) 19:39, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy because your account is being used only for spam, advertising, or promotion. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. Smashvilletalk 20:28, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{unblock}} I have apparently been blocked indefinitely. I'm not too sure why. I created a page for a local company that has been featured in local newspapers and local business journals that interested me. I thought that was the purpose of the free encyclopedia. The company is the world's largest camera repair facility and gives a lot back to my community, but little is known about it. I figured a company of this stature deserves a legitimate Wikipedia page. Because it is my first page, I have been going back and adding more information as I've obtained information about the company from employees that live in my community. I have only edited this page so far because I want to use it as a way to learn how to use Wikipedia. I am a graduate student at an area university and believe that I can most certainly add to the wealth of knowledge available to Wikipedia. By removing my block I will be able to do so. I am rather discouraged, however, that my first addition to the community has caused my blockage. Thank you kindly.

I don't think it was the article, it was the 'keyword mining' that you did after that which caused significant concern, especially since several of the 'references' in your article are to a SEO firm which the company has a relationship with. Can you pledge to avoid doing this in the future? Kuru talk 19:02, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Most definitely. I figured a professional case study was a good enough reference. I did not realize the company had a relationship with the firm. You can find it with a simple Google search. I figured since there were no other links to the keywords and if you search on a search engine for them they get linked to the company. My apologies... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.164.28.130 (talk) 19:31, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've left a request on the blocking administrator's page. Kuru talk 20:13, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What sorts of articles would you intend to contribute to? --Smashvilletalk 05:46, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I am a political scientist, so pages involving politics and government systems or figures (especially local and state level governments since little is documented for those institutions). I am also a big sports fan, and have noticed some inaccuracies with sports-related pages. I would also like to expand upon the pages for my town and region if I have time to do so.
