[edit]Hello, Ccthehorsie and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students.
If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}}
before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.
Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.
Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}}
on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.
We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! SPF121188 (talk this way) (contribs) 18:13, 11 October 2022 (UTC)

[edit]This is a good article in that it was rather bare prior. There are several details which are added, and it provides more context on Bibb's life. I would suggest less passive voice in it, and I would suggest less such as "this letter is a useful tool" because its availability online confirms as such. This is a lot of context onto the life of Bibb, though, which is quite good fundamentally. Similarly, I would change the concept of Bibb's death being symbolic due to being on an emancipation day. Yes, it's true, but it could be reworded to reflect the encyclopedic tone of Wikipedia, this is ultimately a strong page, though, and is adding more detail on someone. This is strong and you have a good foundation that could use minor tweaks. Please do not read anything as harsh, I think this is well done! Battlehuntz (talk) 19:40, 29 November 2022 (UTC)

- Peer review:
- The lead or the introductory/ biographical information regarding Henry Bibb have been updated. In addition, it alludes to information later detailed within the article: including his residence, his career work and family. The lead is cogent and written with detail. However, the article will benefit from more citations from sources when making a claim in the "content" sections. The article can also use a grammatical revision in certain areas with regards to punctuation--and sentence wordiness. The sources provided are good--all peer reviewed, reliable and are up to date. The Subheadings of the article (i.e. Letter from Henry Bibb to John Calkins) should be changed and/or included under a different heading--since it is not prominent enough to be its own heading. (the information provided can be included under legacy/biography sections. The picture, as well as caption, adhere to the Wikipedia's regulations--however, I would suggest either, the picture of the handcuffs under the slavery subsection, or including pictures for the other subsections to maintain coherence.
