Biographies of living people
[edit]I see that you are working on an article about Cedar Miles. There are several things that you should be aware of regarding biographies and what constitutes an appropriate article for the Wikipedia. First are the general notability guidelines contained at WP:Notability, and the more specific ones at WP:Notability (people). Second is the policy requiring WP:Verifiabilty, with WP:Identifying reliable sources and WP:Citing sources. Third are the requirements of the policy on Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. Lastly, one needs to avoid conflicts of interest. See Wikipedia:Conflict of interest where it says: Conflict of interest (COI) editing involves contributing to Wikipedia about yourself, family, friends, ... --Bejnar (talk) 05:13, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
You might also consider reading some of the discussions of biographies of living people at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, the criteria for speedy deletion at Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion#A7. No indication of importance (people, animals, organizations, web content, events) and the essay at Wikipedia:Credible claim of significance. Recent biographies of living people that have been discussed include Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Beatriz Romilly, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Saniya Pannu, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jenny Dell, and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/John Roland Mew. --Bejnar (talk) 05:13, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
December 2018
[edit]Hey, just wanted to touch base with you and let you know I fixed some common errors in your draft article. The infobox goes before the content, the pic of Cedar goes in the image parameter, I changed the caption, seemed kind of obvious he was posing near a bus, don't you think, the logo parameter would be for a pic like at the top of his channel. You also need to find some independent sources that discuss Miles in significant detail in order to pass WP:GNG, YouTube and Facebook alone won't cut it. Cedar needs to get out and do some interviews, make a name for himself, like with mags, newspapers, online magazines, publications that have editorial control over their content, fanboy sites won't work either. And also, considering your username, you'll probably get tagged with a WP:COI and could possibly, maybe, potentially, who knows, get blocked from editing for promotion/advertising reasons. Wikipedia frowns upon people creating articles about themselves, I know, it sucks, but it is what it is. You really, really, need to read COI. Anyway, if you need further help with your draft or need advice, holler at me on my talk page. Just click on talk besides my name. Good luck. Isaidnoway (talk) 12:33, 2 December 2018 (UTC)
