Irula people

Hello, Your recent addition about police atrocities in Irula people is unsourced and violates WP:OR. Police atrocity against the community is very notable but you need to write a narrative than a list of incidents or it will be removed. Why don't you WP:CREATE an article about Athiyur Vijaya Rape (1993). The incident seems very notable. Best - SUN EYE 1 15:45, 23 December 2021 (UTC)

Irula

I see Suneye1 mentioned a few months ago above the issue regarding "police atrocities". I deleted the list at Irula recently, for the reasons which it turns out Suneye1 had already mentioned to you. Your revert of my edit simply won't do.

There is no doubt that, in various places and for various reasons, police forces do unfairly target certain people. However, on Wikipedia we would need rock-solid sources discussing police actions as atrocities/abuse of power/systemic discrimination etc. We cannot just list a few events and determine ourselves that those constitute poor policing, nor is every police error a deliberate targeting. Take particular note that "atrocities" is a very strong, emotive word: police, like anyone else, can make mistakes or target people, even hit them etc, without it constituting an "atrocity".

So, I've removed the list again and suggest that you heed the suggestions of myself and Suneye. Thanks - Sitush (talk) 15:54, 24 October 2023 (UTC)
