May 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Novo Tape. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to David Barton (author) seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. In addition, it is suggested you disclose any conflicts of interest on your User Page to avoid misleading editors about your intentions. If you have any questions, feel free to reply here, on my talk page, or visit this forum. Sincerely, Novo Tape (She/Her)My Talk Page 20:02, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting that you would choose libel that attacked Mr. Barton’s character several times and remove neutral, factual inputs. I would like to know exactly what was not neutral included in my statements in the interest of honest disclosure. I would also request your feedback on how the several (actually inaccurate) and libelous content inputs previously posted that were allowed to remain in place unquestioned. If this just doesn’t play to your agenda(s), please just share and own that. I just happened to do a search to see whether Mr. Barton was still living. Finding that to be the case, I read the Wiki article and was shocked at its libel and inaccuracies. I have never made a Wiki post and set up an account to post. I had heard of this subjective libel & agendas permeating various forms of media but this was sadly my first personal experience with it. Are you s anti-Christian? It just doesn’t follow your belief system? Do you not acknowledge the fact that at the time of our nation’s founding (even if only socially practiced & accepted as norm)…we were a Christian nation? Mr. Barton’s original, founding documents (which I have personally seen btw) prove that fact. So, I hope you will clarify your position (even briefly would be fine). 2601:285:C000:9410:8959:2FD:1EFF:E498 (talk) 21:28, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The specific phrase I object to is "unquestionable support", as that does not seem particularly neutral. Although, if I'm being honest, the old version of the article seems terribly biased too. I am not anti-Christian and have no (relevant) agenda. My position is that I try to help Wikipedia, just as you are doing my replying to me. I'm going to undo my revert, since your edit seemed to be in good faith, but with slight changes to what you wrote. If you have any objections to it, please start a discussion on the Talk:David Barton (author), so that more people's opinions may be solicited. Sincerely, Novo Tape (She/Her)My Talk Page 21:35, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
