Your username

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Digitaldesignpartners", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually (not your role), such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. Alternatively, you can just create a new account and use that for editing. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. 49ersBelongInSanFrancisco (talk) 05:14, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, club, organization, company, or website, I have blocked this account from editing. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here.

Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change of your current account here. The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username on this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken or in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

Thank you. Ks0stm (TCGE)  If you reply here, please ping me by using {{re|Ks0stm}} in your reply.  07:34, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Digitaldesignpartners/Sample page, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 08:52, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Renamed so unblocked. We expect your very next edit to be declaring your conflict of interest, as required by WP:COI. We also expect you to refrain from promoting your company or your clients. Yamla (talk) 12:05, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yamla, they've started socking with User:Christine970819/sandbox. Couldn't quack harder if I tried. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 12:27, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
They are actually permitted to set up another account rather than renaming this one. However, the blatant spam is a concern, as is WP:UPE. I'll leave a warning. --Yamla (talk) 12:35, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@AirshipJungleman29@Yamla
Hi,
I am just someone without any editing experience, and I was trying to learn how to use all the editing functions.
To be honest, I am deeply surprised by all the spam allegation, and was so disappointed at my works got deleted. I was merely practicing in a sample page where examples were given without any intention of publishing it or making it public. I haven't even got enough time to figure out how to declare conflict of interest before my account got banned. I had no chance of rectifying anything, so I turned to using another account, and using the sandbox to continue my practice, still without any intention of publishing it or making it publicand. I got banned again. And for the spam allegation, I did not promote the company nor the client. The information mentioned in my work was cited from magazine, NFP and government webpages.
Please advise where am I supposed to practice editing and able to preview my work, in private perhaps? ChristineDDP (talk) 02:16, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
As you have refused to declare your conflict of interest after clear instructions this must be your very next edit, I have blocked you indefinitely. --Yamla (talk) 10:38, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Yamla,
I wish to apologise first for my lack of understanding of the guidelines and rules regarding editing.
And I wish to clarify that I never refused to declare conflict of interest. As neither of my accounts made further edit in my sandbox, I am not sure what the very next edit means, does reply the talk page considered an edit? My understanding was that I need to declare COI when I edit my sandbox the next time, so I didn't mention COI when replying you, did that lead to the conclusion of me refusing to declare COI? Was I expected to declare by replying here? Would adding {{edit COI}} to the talk page, rather than adding to the sandbox, being considered declaring COI?
This account was blocked because of its name was not comply with the guidelines, so I changed accordingly and waited for the unblock.
I misunderstood the two given options, so I created another account when waiting for this one to be unblocked. I had no idea my actions would be considered socking before seeing the relevant rules in my inbox, and I never had any intention of socking. My intention was to continue playing around with the functions, as you can see in my another account's sandbox, citations and sections were added. Then, another account was blocked because I did not declare conflict of interest, which now I understand should be declared immediately.
I appreciate all the instructions, as it helped me to learn along the way. Once again I apologise, but please understand that my intention was never bad. ChristineDDP (talk) 01:42, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You still haven't declared your conflict of interest. I strongly oppose unblocking you until you do and until you agree to refrain from writing about anything for which you have a conflict of interest, including at least Digital Design Partners and all clients. --Yamla (talk) 11:49, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used only for advertising or promotion.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.
