Page moves and self-requested deletions

[edit]

Hey, Christwelf! I saw that you created the 7rd North African Infantry Division page, the one with the typo. No worries! But just so you know, there's a more elegant way of correcting a typo in a page title than just copying and pasting: it's called moving a page. In a nutshell, when you're on the page that you're moving from, you can hover over the downward-pointing triangle in the top-right corner of the edit window. This should bring down a link that says "Move"; if you click on this, it'll take you to the move page, where you can type in the correct article title and shift everything over to the new title. Moving a page is generally better than just recreating it, as it can preserve the editing history of the old article. Anyway, no harm done, so thanks and happy editing! 7th Panzer

[edit]

Hey, its really coming along. Much improved. Gunbirddriver (talk) 01:31, 10 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have an opinion on the "War Crimes" section? It seems highly unlikely, the sourcing is very weak and I do not think the claims are valid. I have made my case for removal, but if you had an opinion I would like to know it before taking an action. Thanks. Gunbirddriver (talk) 05:01, 2 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Work on Operation Typhoon?

[edit]

Hi, you've recently left me a note about working on "Operation Typhoon". What is the idea? Regards, DPdH (talk) 00:00, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

German Wehrmacht 2nd divisions

[edit]

Hi Christwelfwww, are these 2 German divisions the same: 2nd Infantry Division (Wehrmacht) and 2nd Infantry Division (Germany)?

Can I redirect 2nd Infantry Division (Germany) to 2nd Infantry Division (Wehrmacht)? I wanted to check with you since it seems like you worked on these articles a lot back in 2013. It seems like you moved the "Wehrmacht" page to a 12th Panzer Division, and then created a page about the Wehrmacht division; however, you also added identical (or similar content) to the "Germany" page.

Also, would it be appropriate to merge the content from the 2nd Infantry Division pages to the 12th Panzer Division page, since the 2nd Infantry got reorganized into the 12th Panzer Division?

Thanks, Natg 19 (talk) 23:54, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Rzhev

[edit]

Hi!

Hope you're doing well. I'm looking forward to getting Battle of Rzhev, Summer 1942 to GA, and I just wanted to let you know that I'm available for general copyediting and wording issues. I'd appreciate if you could direct me to some helpful sources (in any format), essentially because I'm not an expert on this particular clash. Since I live by PDFs, email is a great option. I'll be able to get involved in editing the content far better that way. Once again, this should be fun.

Battle of Rzhev GAN

[edit]

You may not have noticed, but I've left some new comments on the nomination.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 16:37, 30 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The article Battle of Rzhev, Summer 1942 you nominated as a good article has failed ; see Talk:Battle of Rzhev, Summer 1942 for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of the article.
