Speedy deletion of Spectral concentration problem
[edit]A tag has been placed on Spectral concentration problem, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. JagDragon♫ (talk) 12:55, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
Hi! I came across your new article and found it very interesting. You should completely ignore (and/or remove) the above deletion notice. Your article should not have been tagged with it in the first place.
I went ahead and reformatted the article - I know that the Wikipedia markup can take some getting used to. If you have any questions about what I did or anything else just let me know. I hope that you would consider editing the article further (and correcting any mistakes I may have made:)). I would especially like to read about some of its real-world applications. Happy editing, THEN WHO WAS PHONE? (talk) 20:46, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Hi there :)
Your image, DPSS_figure.jpg, needs to be uploaded to either Wikipedia (Wikipedia:Upload) or to Wikimedia Commons. The latter will require you to create a new account if you don't already have one there (you can create a unified login for all wiki projects by going to "my preferences > user profile" and following the steps) or you can just click on the red linked image name in Spectral concentration problem and follow the instructions to upload it here. Wikipedia:Upload maybe helpful in figuring out how you wish to license the image. Let me know if you have any questions about the process. Also, while there is absolutely nothing wrong with uploading a .jpg file, if you happen to have the image in a non-lossy format like .png or .svg then upload the non-lossy version.
The article Chronux looks pretty good! The only major comment I have is related to showing that the package is "notable". From a search on Google scholar I see that the program is used by many groups and the results incorporated in to their publications. But from reading the article this notability is not so evident. Even just a couple of sentences showing, with references, that the package is used by researchers would be a great addition to the article. Also consider using some inline citations for long articles like this one. I am tempted to remove the reference improve tag but without inline citations I'm not sure if the references need improving or not.
I only made four small changes to the article: (1) I removed your signature – signatures should be used everywhere except inside of articles. The history page keeps a record of everyone's contributions. (2) I removed {{Free software}} as the corresponding template does not exist. (3) I removed the spaces between entries in the "See also" list. (4) I changed [[Neuroscientists]] to [[Neuroscientist]]s. All of these are very minor things. You did a great job! THEN WHO WAS PHONE? I notice you tagged Spectral concentration problem as {{hangon}}. This tag is only used when a page has been nominated for speedy deletion and you disagree with the page being deleted. As Spectral concentration problem has not been suggested for speedy deletion, I have removed the tag. If you meant to place it on an image or another page, please re-add it there. Disambiguation link notification for July 17
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Govindan Rangarajan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chaos (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
