Surnames
[edit]Hi. The use of surnames is not meant to be disrespectful – it is simply how the encyclopaedia is written. It is covered here in the Manual of Style (MoS) if you would like a look. If you strongly object to the policy then you would probably need to try to change the MoS by starting a discussion at the relevant Talk page, rather than trying to change it piecemeal – those will probably just get reverted. I must say that I honestly don't fancy your chances of gaining consensus for a change, but I may be wrong so please don't let my doubts put you off if you want to try. Hope this helps, happy editing, DBaK (talk) 20:50, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
Refute!
[edit]PS I am with you on "refute" but I fear that we may already have lost that battle! Cheers DBaK (talk) 20:51, 21 February 2022 (UTC)
