Welcome to Wikipedia, ColinMorgan 56! Thank you for your contributions. This is an encyclopedia, so remember that it's a necessity to include references listing reliable websites, newspapers, articles, books and other sources you have used to write or expand articles. Please understand that these sources should verify the information in a fair and accurate manner. However, you must not copy and paste text you find anywhere, except for short quotations, marked as such with quote marks and carefully cited to the source the quote was taken from. New articles and statements added to existing articles may be deleted by others if unreferenced or referenced poorly or if they are copyright violations. See referencing for beginners for more details.

Information icon Hello, I'm TornadoLGS. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, South Atlantic tropical cyclone, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Some of your edits suggest that you are adding content based on your own analysis of satellite imagery. This would qualify as original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Thank you. TornadoLGS (talk) 21:13, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Subtropical/Tropical Cyclones

[edit]

Hi Colin, Welcome to Wikipedia, I hope you like the place and decide to stick around to help us expand our articles by using reliable sources such as the World Meteorological Organisation. In particular, I noticed that you have an interest in subtropical cyclones and have used Windy and NASA to classify at least two cyclones as subtropical. This I am afraid is a breach of Wikipedia's rules on Original Research as neither NASA or Windy have classified them as such. I also note that you have not presented a reliable source such as the National Hurricane Center or the forementioned World Meteorological Organisation that considers them to be Subtropical Cyclones. As a result of this interest, I was wondering if you would be interested in developing a List of Atlantic subtropical cyclones in a similar way to List of Category 5 South Pacific severe tropical cyclones with me.Jason Rees (talk) 21:37, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
