Proxy block

Hey Coren! I notice you blocked 199.58.84.0/26. Although I notice that it's a software based proxy, it's rare to indef the IP, and it's even more rare to soft block (which means logged in can edit on this IP) the proxy. I'm wondering if you meant to hard block it, and I would also recommend that you set a time limit to the block, as IPs can change ownership in say 5 years. Also the /22 is a webhost, so they could just drop their hosting from that provider and it's a different user now. My recommendation is 1-2 years {{blockedproxy}} hardblock for the /26 you blocked, and a {{webhostblock}} hardblock for the /22 for a longer period (I max at 5). Feel free to give me your opinion though, as I am aggressive to preventing any form of proxy (including webhosts) that shows any abuse, and i'm just stating norms, there are definitely exceptions to be considered. -- DQ (ʞlɐʇ) 01:12, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

Quick Note

The CorenSearchBot does not seem to have run a manual check since Aug 3rd. I'm not sure if the bot is having difficulty or if there is an issue elsewhere affecting it. --Nouniquenames 05:01, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
