Rand Paul NSA/plagiarism
Hi there. I saw you restored that quote I trimmed in the Paul article. My reasoning was that the essential point, that Cuccinelli stole the text, was already made, through a summary of the WP article followed by a quote of that exact phrase from Fein's ex-wife. The next sentence trying to tie it to the other plagiarism accusations is needless commentary by an non-expert source, essentially some random person's opinion. —Torchiest talkedits 05:35, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
- Good point, thanks! Cwobeel (talk) 18:36, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for February 19
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Governorship of Chris Christie, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Record (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

- I see you've begun the process: Not sure that I can add anything to it, as I'm not well-versed. Djflem (talk) 22:50, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
- Hey, thanks anyway :) Cwobeel (talk)
Sorry, but I don't have any experience with fair use of images. Dezastru (talk) 20:54, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
Collaborating
@CFredkin: Wanted to take this off the article talk page. Look, it seems that we will be collaborating for a while on that article, and given that we had some friction already, wanted to reach out and ask you if you would want to establish some ground rules between us so that we can have fun instead of aggravation.
What about this:
- Assume good faith
- If any of us make an edit, before reverting engage in discussion
- If we disagree on an edit, engage others in the dicussion instead of butting heads.
Just say yes to the above (or propose a different set), and we have a deal.

I appreciate the spirit in which you're proposing this. Would you be comfortable discussing edits before making them?CFredkin (talk) 23:38, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
- @CFredkin:We could that, but it will be contrary to the spirit of Wikipedia and will slow us down. Maybe what we should do is to apply WP:BRD. That may be a good way of doing this than my original proposal, although I would prefer it instead of BRD. Thoughts? Cwobeel (talk) 23:55, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
- That works for me. Thanks very much. BTW, I know that I have a political bias. I think that's probably true for most editors on the project. The issue is obviously whether we allow that to unduly influence our edits. That said, I do believe that the net additions to the article over the last couple of days have improved its accuracy, and that the bio now fairly reflects the impact of the scandal at this point. Obviously more will become known over time which will likely either cause a net increase or decrease in its importance.CFredkin (talk) 00:22, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
Thank you
Thanks for the Wikilove. That was most unexpected. Dezastru (talk) 15:24, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
