[edit]Hello. Your recent edit appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. - Did you notice that not all entries on that list have a pre-existing article?
- Also, this (CadQuery) software is relatively new, and should not be hastily categorized as non-notable. A superficial search may not provide enough independent references, but the software is legitimate in the same way that FreeCad is, and there are some academic papers referencing the CadQuery software. - One formerly had an article and the list hadn't been updated since it was deleted, and the other was added fairly recently. We're volunteers here, we don't always notice problems immediately. But the presence of one problem is not a reason to add more. If CadQuery is notable (and you don't have a conflict of interest), write the article first. MrOllie (talk) 17:14, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
- I think you made up that rule about "write the article first" and jumped to conclusions about CadQuery not being notable, after a superficial search and lack of insight. I have already gathered a list of valid links to add to a future article on CadQuery. I have no conflict of interest, and what would that be? when sharing information about free open source?! On the other hand, you are not acting in the interest of this community, by censoring information relevant to the (CAD) topic of another article. DCaptn (talk) 18:20, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
- See WP:NPA. I guess we're done here. MrOllie (talk) 18:22, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
- It's not a personal attack, it is noticing an arbitrary and unjustified action that goes against the interest of the community. Please indicate where is that rule mentioned about "write an article first", or else you should apologize for unjustified censorship. 96.55.109.65 (talk) 18:28, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
