Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called DWH. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name DWH~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Rattle and Hum, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. - Hi Dan. I'm trying to figure out how to leave you a message regarding your Rattle and Hum objections. I would like to discuss it with you. I have retired from the Live Music Recording business after 45 years and now writing a book on the subject. My Wiki efforts are to help credit the people and companies that recorded those Live Shows. I owned Remote Recording Services' "Black Truck" and was Chief Engineer on all of the Shows recorded for "Rattle and Hum". There were many Engineers involved and some political scuffles after the fact. Perhaps that is the problem. Hopefully we can discuss this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DWHRemote (talk • contribs) 16:26, 12 October 2015 (UTC)
- Greetings, DWHRemote. Welcome to Wikipedia. I'll ping Dan56 for you, by mentioning him in this post, like this. Also, check out the Wikipedia:Tutorial, it's a great introduction to editing Wikipedia. (If you reply here I will see what you say.) — Mudwater (Talk) 01:38, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
- If you have a reliable source to cite verifying that information, then please add it to the relevant section in the article's body, as prose--perhaps in the case of Rattle and Hum, the article's "History" or "Live performances" section would be appropriate, saying "so-and-so did this" with a citation to your reference at the end (see Wikipedia:Citing sources for more information). The infobox is not appropriate for the engineer credits you have added (sourced or unsourced). Please review the infobox template guidelines for what that area of the article you've edited is for. Also, your editing may indicate a conflict of interest, so please keep in mind Wikipedia articles "should contain only material that complies with [Wikipedia's] content policies, and [editors] must place the interests of the encyclopedia first." Thank you. Dan56 (talk) 02:11, 16 October 2015 (UTC)

ArbCom 2017 election voter message
[edit]Hello, DWHRemote. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
