Notability of RM Productions[edit]

A tag has been placed on RM Productions requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Matty (talk) 00:30, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Note: This page is meant to give anyone, who is curious, information on the group. Such as if someone were to see a video and want to know more they could come here to read all the information about the group. This way, people will understand the group better and this may gain fan support as well.

First of all, welcome to Wikipedia and i'm sorry that your first experience has been unpleasant. Wikipedia has very strict inclusion guidelines, and some things just aren't notable enough to be included in an encyclopedia. The page you created did not meet our notability guidelines for inclusion and was a speedy deletion candidate per CSD#A7. Please read those pages for further explination. Also, please note our conflict of interest guidelines, and take extreme care when creating articles about things you are personally involved with. As a general rule of thumb, if something is notable for inclusion someone who is unrelated will see there is not a article on the subject and create it. Thank you for your contributions, and if you have any further queries or would like help recreating the article to meet wikipedia guidelines, do not hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Thank you. Oh, and for future reference please add the {{hangon}} tag to the articles page, not your talk page. Matty (talk) 00:49, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article RM Productions, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:18, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Autobiography[edit]

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, instead of writing it yourself, as you did at MACKmai. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:18, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
