This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Tox (Tomcat, Oracle, and XML), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.freshmeat.net/releases/279320. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. A tag has been placed on Tox (Tomcat, Oracle, and XML) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. ukexpat (talk) 22:06, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

January 2020[edit]

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block. To do so, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. Request reason:

I am an individual. I use the username dacracot which is a shortening of my name, David CRAig COThren, and have been doing so since the 1990's. I am the sole original author of the tox microservice which is published under the GPL v2. I receive no compensation for tox whatsoever. I continue to maintain the software after its release into the public domain from LLNL in 2008. It was originally placed in Sourceforge but moved to Github under the direction of LLNL. Since the move I forked the repository and maintain it there. I am attempting to document its features and capabilities in a public place in order to further its usefulness. The deletion of the previous pages for Tox (Tomcat, Oracle, and XML) went unnoticed by myself. I actually forgot having done so, and came to create what I thought was an original post today. Please, unblock my editing privileges so that I may continue to document the project.

Accept reason:

The reason for the block was this edit against the edit filter. I now understand this username, and the service you were editing about, although a shortening of your name is still in fact tied to you as an individual. I have unblocked, though you must ensure you do not edit in a way where there’s a conflict of interest and not edit promotionally. All the best, N.J.A. | talk 20:13, 11 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Tox (microservice) moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Tox (microservice), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Remember to read our guideline for editors with a conflict of interest. – Thjarkur (talk) 16:09, 11 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Tox (microservice)[edit]

Hello, Dacracot. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Tox".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! Lapablo (talk) 21:29, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
