You don't sound like a know it all, although I probably sound like a know-nothing. Do you know how I fix this and delete the wrong account, please?

Sockpuppetry case reply

I dont mean to sound like a no it all but the admins usually frown upon that even if it was a mistake. Chemistrygeek (talk) 18:21, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ask an admin to delete the account you dont want? Ironholds 19:06, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Ironholds - are you an admin or do you know one I can ask about it? Thanks very much, Richard.

I'm not an admin, but you could try User:DGG. He's normally very nice. Just post it at the bottom of his talk page under a header so it gets displayed correctly. a header would be == Like This ==. Ironholds 23:20, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not an admin either, but I handle these sorts of problems. You did nothing wrong. This was a misunderstanding, and I'm sorry about it. Basically, you should use only one account, and if you signed up with a second account, just stop using it and forget about it. (It's not technically possible to "delete" an account; just stop using it.) Yechiel (Shalom) 01:29, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks very much to both of you for your help on this. I'll do some reading before I start editing so I don't - hopefully - make any more mistakes. All the best, Dad's Money (talk) 06:53, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
