Hello! Damian_Thomson is not the appropriate place to post information about yourself, because it is in the part of Wikipedia where encyclopaedic articles are written. A "userpage" at User:Damian R Thomson, however, is available for personal information about yourself. When adding personal information please remember that Wikipedia is not MySpace. Your userpage is for anything that is compatible with the Wikipedia project. It is a mistake to think of it as a homepage: Wikipedia is not a blog, webspace provider, or social networking site. Please see Wikipedia:Introduction and Wikipedia:User page for more information.

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices, as you did with Damian Thomson. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you.

Thanks, you too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by All systems go (talkcontribs) 00:00, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your user name and user page[edit]

Please consider either moving your user page back to User:Damian R Thomson or else changing your user name to match this user page. It is very confusing being directed to this page and finding the normal "User contributions" link on the right is missing. Only changing your user page but not your user name is not effective at hiding your identity, because your real name still shows up in the page history of anything you change. If you change your user name by following the instructions at Wikipedia:Changing username, all previous contributions will be attributed to the new name. —dgiestc 22:44, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You said you wanted a userbox?[edit]

Here's how to code it. First, the box has two main parts: the ID and the info. The ID holds pictures or small quotes (these should never be over three words), and the info holds sentences (again, never more than two). Now when you code it, you can either code the colors in RGB or regular words we all know. Here's an example of the easier way:

{{Userbox|border-c=black|border-s=1|id-c=white|id-s=12|id-fc=black|info-c=black|info-s=8|info-fc=white|ID=ID|info=This is the info.}}

produces:

This user is a Top gear fan.

Of course, there is another way, but it allows you to do less and takes up like three years of your time.

Sincerely,
