Hi Damian, I think if you look in a mirror and say sip, then ship, you'll notice some lip rounding with ship that you don't get with the other. Damian, could you explain what's going on with Flood fill? I don't dispute the correctness of the "east-west optimization" — I removed it only because I think it makes the article a little source code–heavy. But I really can't figure out what you mean by "Tetris" and "Columns" — it doesn't seem to be what a lot of other Wikipedians mean by the same names. I removed the link from the word "imitated" to "Precious Moments" you've made in the article for Margaret Keane. One, because imitation is in the eye of the beholder. I notice you changed the image at Template:SNES because the previous image wasn't a SNES controller. I just wanted to point out that the template doesn't actually have anything to do with the SNES, just the Nintendo Wikiproject. The most modern version of Tetris I play is Tetris DX, using Goomba. My first original Tetris game was Tetris Plus, and it got me hooked for hours. Somehow I was disappointed with the GBA version of Tetris, and Tetris for DS just got worse. They don't do them like they used to. It may be Henk Rogers' fault as you say :)

I'd like to provide citations for them, but I'm really not sure how...the only public documentaion of the episodes' existence is in things that I wrote and thus don't feel comfortable adding as references, and the only other way to prove it would be to actually acquire CBS Programming Practices's files on the episodes (which I'm pretty sure I theoretically could do, but it'd be a lot more trouble than it's worth). definition of polycube

Help Prevent Article Deletion: Religious Perspectives on Dinosaurs

Hello, I'm leaving you this message because I notice you've made at least one significant edit to the Wikipedia article Religious perspectives on dinosaurs. The article has recently been nominated for deletion from Wikipedia, and there is considerable support for that position.

I'm hoping you'll help me support the continued existence of the Religious perspectives on dinosaurs article by registering a keep vote on the article's request for deletion page. The article contains some good information, and represents an unobtrusive way to present notable minority viewpoints about dinosaurs that cannot reasonably be elaborated on in the parent article. It shouldn't be deleted simply because the viewpoints it presents aren't "scientific."

Are we going in the right direction?

Since I don't like brutals RVs and in fact your contribution is true (so this is a bit controversial), I decided to drop you a few lines. I write about the new addition about voxels on the heightmap page. I am unsure it is a good idea to consider this. I see this mainly as opening a can of worms. I was considering removing the thing (or maybe reword it in another paragraph?) for a few reasons:

1. Are voxels necessary? I am not sure defining a heightmap in function of another "extraneus" term is good. By accepting a link with voxels, we suggest the reader to take a note on the concept. Unless strictly necessary, I would try to be minimal.
2. What's the abstraction level? Mathematically speaking a heightmap is a 2D->nD function. It can also be seen as an array of pixels, values, attributes and now voxels. This isn't really a problem with your contribution but more with the article in general. While we are here, we may get a point on this.
3. Are those really voxels? There's obviously some reference to a space subdivision but the relation to voxels does not seems to be trivial. I am not sure it would work with float heightmaps (fractional voxels? no way!).

I also do not understand from where you take the three dimensions of the voxels. In a certain sense, the heightmap sample value will be the height but when it comes to widht and depth that's another business since the sample is applied to points. Intuitively, the space partition (again, assuming it's non-fractional) will be the voxel "grid" but those voxels won't really exist since we care about the corners only. It's again a problem with abstraction level. The idea of thinking at "voxels" seems just a bit overkill... in fact it seems more rational to express all the coordinates in "terrain space" and xform it to real geometry space. Although the difference is mainly on expressing the terms, this cannot be left out.

No CPU!

I'm not going to quibble at the change you made to PostScript ('cause your point is basically correct) but if you go back far enough, you'll find that the LA30 dot matrix printer built by Digital Equipment Corporation really didn't contain anything you'd call a CPU or even microcontroller; it was just a bunch of random logic strung out in such a way as to realize a dot matrix printer. But by the time of its successor, the LA36 (ca. 1976 or so), there was a real microcontroller in place, executing a recognizable microprogram out of ROM, using an ALU, RAM, and I/O resources, etc.

The claim about Mirrorsoft and Tetris may not be as wrong as it first appears. Mirrorsoft was a company owned by the late and somewhat unlamented tycoon Robert Maxwell. Mirrorsoft and Spectrum Holobyte succeeded in acquiring the rights to Tetris, although there was subsequently controversy over whether Robert Stein was legally entitled to them. Hi Damian Yerrick - It's a good idea to post about WikiProject:Law. This area of WP articles needs a good bit of work. Unfortunately, experts on other jurisdictions are few and far between. Sorry to be a bit irritable about it -- I've lately been a little frustrated with exactly this issue of people putting "globalize" tags on articles that are, by definition, US-based topics. Unfortunately a lot of folks don't understand the difference between legal theories and concepts on the one hand, and legal doctrines -- which are inherently local and specific -- on the other hand.
