April 2020[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Robby.is.on. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Tudor Mihail, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Robby.is.on (talk) 10:19, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

http://sportmagazine.knack.be/sport/magazine/clubnieuws/article-normal gives a "page not found". See screenshot: https://jmp.sh/uopeVJm I also searched sportmagazine.knack.be for an article about "Tudor Mihail" but found nothing. Please make sure to include a reference that works. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 08:46, 6 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply and the screenshot. The screenshot shows the full link http://sportmagazine.knack.be/sport/magazine/clubnieuws/article-normal-1344979.html whereas the link you were putting in the article lacked the "-1344979.html" part which made it impossible for me (or any other reader) to verify the claim of his relation to Stoica. I have fixed the link. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 12:27, 6 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Alin Stoica[edit]

Hi there. I'm sorry I had to revert your large change at Alin Stoica. You added a bunch of paragraphs that were unsourced and you removed Stoice's well-sourced stint at Standaard Wetteren without an explanation.

Please make multiple smaller changes instead of one large one, especially if those changes relate to different parts of the article. Large changes are harder to review for other editors and are more likely to be reverted in their entirety. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 08:03, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Robby.
Appreciate your concern, but all sources are clearly mentioned and cited. from 1 to 7. Wikipedia is not a gossip website to denigrate a person like this. The article does not reflect the work and career of this player. Kind regards.
Robby where do you find it widely sourced? Based on an interview in the paper of a president that wanted to make himself publicity? Please show me an official game of Alin Stoica in Standaard Wetteren Dani33Para (talk) 10:09, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your reply.
I don't intend to denigrate anyone and I doubt anyone who has contributed to the article's current state had that intention. Please don't cast aspersions casually.
If certain parts of the article are inaccurate and unsourced, they should be removed. But why did you remove the reference for his time at FK Vojvodina and a few other good references?
Again: It would make collaboration much easier – and Wikipedia is after all a collaborative endeavour – if you were to make your changes in smaller chunks.
The following paragraphs are lacking inline citations:
  • "He quickly became a fan favorite, …"
  • "In his last year of contract, …"
  • "In Stoica's first game for Gent, …"
  • "On 2 July 2009, Stoica moved to Serbia …"
His stint at Wetteren is also backed by https://www.romaniansoccer.ro/players/1917/alin-tudor-adi-stoica.htm, https://www.footballdatabase.eu/en/player/details/3561, https://www.national-football-teams.com/player/5419/Alin_Stoica.html. He didn't make an appearance for Concordia Chiajna either, yet he was under contract at the club. Robby.is.on (talk) 10:32, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Robby, i understand your point of view. The source for Vojvodina was basically not having anything to do with the club. It was a random article, like many other sources and citations in the previous versions. I will make smaller changes and update everyone.
These paragraphs you mentioned were already there:
"He quickly became a fan favorite, …"
"In his last year of contract, …"
"In Stoica's first game for Gent, …"
"On 2 July 2009, Stoica moved to Serbia …"
I just adjusted the text to reflect the actual provable content, not vague gossips.
I will further inform of my work. And Standaard Wetteren indeed needs to be readded with a correct source. Dani33Para (talk) 11:59, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Robby. All sources are iopening in clear links. Standaard Wetteren was added. You are asking for citations of some paragraphs that were already in the article and i did not touch and as there were there before and reflect the reality. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dani33Par (talkcontribs)
You are right: The paragraphs were there and unsourced before your change. That's what I meant when I said "Large changes are harder to review". ;-)
Thanks for re-adding his Standaard Wetteren spell.
I've done some copy-editing and expanded the lede.
Thanks for your work on the article. I think it's much better now than it was. :-) Robby.is.on (talk) 09:42, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Robby. Yes the article is better now but the way you wrote the lede does not reflect the reality. Ok the boy didnt settle after his departure from Anderlecht but he was named by the great Hagi his follower: https://www.worldsoccer.com/features/gheorghe-hagi-55859 Also you have said he won 2 trophies in Brugge when he won 4. He was mentioned in the Belgium media one of the greatest talents if not the greatest talent to have played on Belgium field: https://www.voetbalkrant.com/nieuws/2020-01-06/alin-stoica-portret-van-het-roemeense-talent.
I am sorry i cannot let you turnish or minimalize his achievements. He is definitely one of the biggest talents of his generation in Romania, no Romanian player won so many titles like abroad and except Chivu who played for Inter and Mutu there is no more succesful player than him. I will update your lede. Thanks for understanding. Dani33Para (talk) 10:42, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Robby. I have modified the Lede and gave citations. I added citations no1 no2 no4 and no6. Links for him being nicknamed Little Prince of Astrid Parc and Best young footballer of the year were added as you requested. I appreciate your work on wikipedia but please do not make any more changed to this player profile as the facts are stated are backed up by sources, and every sentence has a citation. Thanks for your cooperation. Dani33Para (talk) 17:12, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the citations. Good work!
Regarding the cup, I misread the league cups in the the "Honours" section as national cups. I've removed the mention of the cups from the lede, they're nowhere as important as the league titles.
I am sorry i cannot let you turnish or minimalize his achievements. I have no intentions to diminish the player's achievements. Stop casting aspersions and start assuming good faith. This is the second time you're doing it, it's offensive and I won't have it. If you continue, I will ask for administrator intervention.
please do not make any more changed to this player profile Read WP:OWN. Here's an excerpt: "No one, no matter how skilled, or how high-standing in the community, has the right to act as though they are the owner of a particular article. Furthermore, a subject of an article, be that a person or organization, does not own the article, nor has any right to dictate what the article may (or may not) say." Robby.is.on (talk) 20:23, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Robby. Your work here on wkikipedia is instrumental, i dont want to have any arguements with you, just want the profile and description of this player to be according to the reality and backed by facts and citations (as you asked for me and i diligently did) and not on poetry and conclusions. If you want your name to appear last on this article go ahead :) but if it does not reflect the facts i will come back to modify it. Tks. Dani33Para (talk) 05:50, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
What is wrong with you? Why can't you do without baseless accusations like If you want your name to appear last on this article go ahead? It's really annoying. I'm just trying to improve the article just like you. My last couple of days of editing have been much less enjoyable because of this nonsense. Robby.is.on (talk) 10:47, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

AN/I notice[edit]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Robby.is.on (talk) 11:00, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Robby.is.on.

All your changes to this article were not based on facts or citations, moreover Robby.is.on asked for citations of every line that was written there, which i dilligently did, therr are plenty of articles who have less citations than this and there is no problem, but it seemed to me he wants to have the last word all the time, like the last change you have put "League" in place of "Belgian First Division". I don't see the point of these actions and all i wanted was the article about this player to reflect the reality no accusations or assumptions. We are speaking about a 10 title winner player in Belgium. I believe our core activity is to give articles based on facts. Finally we are not football critics.

Thanks for understanding and apologize if i created any kind of trouble. Dani33Para (talk) 11:19, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
