[edit]Hello, I'm MrOllie. I noticed that you recently removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Your recent edits to Shmuley Boteach could give Wikipedia contributors the impression that you may consider legal or other "off-wiki" action against them, or against Wikipedia itself. Please note that making such threats on Wikipedia is strictly prohibited under Wikipedia's policies on legal threats and civility. Users who make such threats may be blocked. If you have a dispute with the content of any page on Wikipedia, please follow the proper channels for dispute resolution. Please be sure to comment on content, not contributors, and where possible make specific suggestions for changes supported by reliable independent sources and focusing especially on verifiable errors of fact. Thank you. Blablubbs|talk 16:23, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
Shmuley Boteach edits
[edit]Please use the Talk section to discuss sections that you disagree with in Shmuley Boteach. So far you've retried to remove 3 different sections on the article without merit. They have all be properly restored. Please use the proper channels for dispute resolution and avoid removing blocks of text without proper consideration. Anything that is improperly removed will be added back by the community. --Ew3234 (talk) 05:15, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
I am writing on behalf of Shmuley Boteach, who says that part of the article includes slander, and has tasked me with removing it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Daniel234Ok (talk • contribs)
- Please see WP:COI and WP:PAID, you may suggest edits on the talk page but should not edit it directly. See also WP:NLT - throwing around words like slander and threatening legal action will get you blocked from Wikipedia. Additionally, Wikipedia summarizes other sources - as long as those sources exist, Wikipedia is going to summarize them, especially since these are rather well regarded sources you're trying to remove. You'll probably need to focus on getting Fox and the Guardian to retract the stories first. - MrOllie (talk) 15:25, 31 December 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Shmuley Boteach. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 17:38, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
It is not promotional material, it is an updated version of what Rabbi Boteach is doing currently. Please explain how this is promotional material?
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. MrOllie (talk) 18:44, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Daniel234Ok. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 19:38, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
