Can you explain what you mean by 'unreferenced fact'? Lightmouse (talk) 21:59, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You altered your signature incorrectly. Go to my preferences -> User profile -> uncheck "raw signature". --slakrtalk / 15:18, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I modified Template:User actor so that you just need to add |simple and it will display the simpler version. I deleted the old one since it was then redundant. cheers, –xeno (talk) 23:06, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yea, thanks for that, I was lazy. =) Tweaked it so they can see exactly what they're getting. –xeno (talk) 14:13, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Danorton, I saw your comments on Lightmouse's page; please see Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(links)#Overlinking_and_underlinking—the second bullet should answer your query. Tony (talk) 05:00, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I take it, then, that the documentation is now OK; or will the whole application need to be resubitted? Tony (talk) 13:43, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your comments and your support for the bot per se. I'm sure that Lightmouse is giving serious consideration to your comments. :Incidentally, you may be interested to know that the debate at MOSNUM talk over the deprecation of date autoformatting has generated a consensus for the addition of a sentence to that effect in MOSNUM. I'm keen to know whether you support this move, which is the culmination of a much longer debate over the past two years, and more intensively over the past six weeks at MOSNUM and elsewhere. It does look as though the move from the mandatory to the optional (last year) will naturally progress to the deprecated. Personally, I believe that this is a good thing. If you're interested, I can link you to background information. Tony (talk) 14:14, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for correcting; yes, that was naughty of me. Tony (talk) 08:04, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dan, thanks for this. You're quite right, and I don't know how it happened. Could be that I screwed up by guessing international, the diff showed they were all US, and then I mixed up the process of cancelling and re-applying the script. I think I've become better at this. Sometimes, the best way of determining just what the existing format is is to take a guess, apply the script, and cancel if wrong. It's back to US. You might be interested in having your say at the debate as to how to get the guideline right for choosing the DF for non-anglophone-country-related articles. It's a pain. I'm certainly not in favour of matching format with whatever format is or was used in a particular foreign country (except for the anglophone countries).
