Image copyright problem with Image:Silent2targa.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Silent2targa.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ↔NMajdan•talk 14:19, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Silent 2 targa low pass.jpeg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Silent 2 targa low pass.jpeg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 15:08, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

Silent 2 Targa tagged for speedy deletion
[edit]A tag has been placed on Silent 2 Targa, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article is a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how Silent 2 Targa is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:Silent 2 Targa saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we ask you to follow these instructions. ShaleZero 20:26, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Alisport Silent 2T
[edit]An editor has nominated Alisport Silent 2T, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alisport Silent 2T and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. List of notable glider pilots
[edit]There is a proposal to delete the List of notable glider pilots. Please register your opinion on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of notable glider pilots. I think it is an interesting list and useful when publicising the sport. JMcC 09:25, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Gliders and Gliding
[edit]In an effort to streamline the subprojects of aviation, and given the fact that the Glider task force has four members and a total of 51 articles tagged under its scope and the Gliding project has 7 and 56, I'd like to mere the Wikipedia:WikiProject Aircraft/Glider task force and the Wikipedia:WikiProject Gliding into one project, Wikipedia:WikiProject Aviation/Gliding task force. Any objections? - Trevor MacInnis (Contribs) 19:48, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
Airports with glider operations
[edit]A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Airports with glider operations, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Oo7565 05:25, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

Duplicate images uploaded
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:FLAPERONMONOPLANE.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:FLAPERONMONOPLANE.JPG. The copy called Image:FLAPERONMONOPLANE.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

Standardising articles on gliders
[edit]There has been some discussion in Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Aircraft about using the standard template for aircraft for articles on gliders. To understand what was expected, I asked one of the prime movers to change one of the existing articles into his preferred format. Please have a look at the changes to Schempp-Hirth Discus. Are the supposed benefits of consistency with other types of aircraft outweighed by the aethestics of having all key data in one table? Post you opinions to the WikiProject Aircraft Talk page. JMcC (talk) 00:16, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
In my opinion the pages like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alisport_Silent_2 were just fine: you could see at a glance text, a small picture and data. Data could be made easy to read by removing multiple unit of measure, there is no sense in putting meters and feet, conversion can be done dynamically, user preferences. After all computers are good in making conversion) USELESS TO SHOW SPEED IN KNOTS, MILES/H AND KM/H With text, a small picture and data page space is used efficiently, giving the reader everything at a glance. The page like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schempp-Hirth_Discus make page layout inefficient (space is lost, beside the data).

Image copyright problem with Image:Valcourt airport.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Valcourt airport.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}}
(to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 20:09, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
License tagging for File:CNF3 Pendleton Airport.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:CNF3 Pendleton Airport.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:07, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
An exciting opportunity to get involved!
[edit]As a member of the Aviation WikiProject or one of its subprojects, you may be interested in testing your skills in the Aviation Contest! I created this contest, not to pit editor against editor, but to promote article improvement and project participation and camraderie. Hopefully you will agree with its usefulness. Sign up here, read up on the rules here, and discuss the contest here. The first round of the contest may not start until September 1st-unless a large number of editors signup and are ready to compete immediately! Since this contest is just beginning, please give feedback here, or let me know what you think on my talkpage. - Trevor MacInnis contribs 00:04, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
